AWSOME FOAM (READ WARNING)
This foam fits perfectly in the Plano 42" case. It's high quality as well. WARNING: DO NOT USE A HOT KNIFE ON THIS! I warn you because you either need an extremely steady hand (coupled with a ton of patience) or a machine to do it where it looks nice. I say this because the knife is freehand and also it loses it's heat often and needs to heat back up again. The end result looks squiggly and like a little kid did it. YOU'VE BEEN WARNED. What I do suggest is using a large and long razor blade (I used a DEWALT DWHT10045 25mm Single Blade Snap-Off Knife that I bought for $10 at Home Depot). The razor blade cut through the foam like butter and the result was straight and professional looking. Make sure you use a fresh blade. The Dewalt knife is also deep enough to cut all the way through the foam. I have no idea why the knife received 3 stars on Amazon but I've been using them for years and they're awesome. (AGAIN, you've been warned about the hot knife...you're welcome).

Quality Product
The foam is top notch quality. I used an electric knife to cut the patterns and it tuned out fairly nice. If you go that route be sure to keep the knife perpendicular to the foam so the cut is even on both sides. Once I got it cut, I coated it with a can of Plasti Dip to give the foam more durability. Looks great too!One thing to be aware of when you first get the foam. Before it gets cut it’s a pretty tight fit in the case and may cause it to be difficult to close properly. Once it’s cut, the voids create some give that keeps the fit tight but allows the case to close correctly. Before cutting, be sure to watch YouTube for tutorials and save yourself headaches.

Foam cuts nicely and was a perfect fit for my rifle case
Had to replace the original pluck-n-pull foam in my Plano case and decided to use the Cobra foam insert.Foam cuts nicely and was a perfect fit for my rifle case. Will order again if I need to replace it again.

Great to replace an old Tactical case foam
Mine came folded in half and packaged nicely. Opened it up layed it out for a couple hours and it layed flat. Marked it out as the instructions said and it came out great.

Creases that will not come out because they sent it folded in half
This was ordered as a replacement for the first one that was also sent folded in half an had creases that wouldn't come out. I requested the replacement not be sent folded in half but it was also sent folded in half. I had bought 2 of these a couple years ago without any problem but the foam they sent this time is allot harder / stiffer than before and they keep sending them folded in half. For the record the ones I bought a few years ago were not folded in half and the foam was allot softer and felt better quality. It's sad this company has gone so downhill.

Great quality & fit perfect.
When I got it in the mail I was worried because it was folded in half. But as soon as I opened it, it went right back to shape. Its obviously great quality foam. It was easy to cut straight and it fit perfectly in the case. I highly recommend if you are not happy with the lego look of pick and pluck.

just what I needed
Exactly what I needed to replace that pull apart oem foam that fell apart, mostly be cause I tried to put too much in the case. This new denser foam allowed me to fold the stock under and leave the bipod in place while keeping all the other goodies at hand.

Doesn’t actually fit. Not at all right shape.
This foam isA. The wrong shape entirely. It’s too long, the corners are wrong, and it’s too narrow.B. It’s too thick to even close the case at all. It claims to replace the pick and pluck factory foam but it doesn’t. It’s too thick to just replace the pick and pluck but not thick enough to eliminate the foam under the pick and plus as well.C. The foam is too stiff and low quality. Has a similar texture to green craft foam at the store. Feels almost crumbly. Barely has any flexibility or memore.NOT RECCOMMENDED.
