Gita is for All
This is of course Advaita commentary, which is not solely focused on the Bhakti aspect of it. Shankara delves deep into the philosophy. You can make notes out of it, it's literally that engaging.

Must read! Advatic explanation of Bhagavad Gita
Must read for understanding of Bhagavad Gita. What amazes me is that Adi Shankaracharya wrote this amazing bhashya 1200 -1300 hundred years ago. It is understandable if you have basic knowledge of Advaita Vedanta philosophy, as it is explained from that perspective by Adi Shankaracharya. The English translation by Swami Gambhiananda is simple and easy to understand. Sanskrit words followed by their meaning is written. It's a must Read.

The best
Hands down the best book one can get to know their true self. But there are many versions and translations of Bagvaad Git. This version stays true to Adi Shankaras teachings and one should definitely have this version.I bought this version after a recommendation from Swamy sarva priya nanda and i highly suggest any one who want buy or have bought this Gita to listen to swami srava priya nanda gita teachings available for free on YouTube. You can corelate and understand best when you follow the pravachan along carting this version of Gita. If it's your first Gita then buy a simpler version like gita press english version and come to this once you unser6the core philosophy or you are into Advaita

A book which every Hindu should be closely familiar with
This is an excellent - one might say, gambhIra! - translation of the gItA bhAShya of Shankaracharya in English. I have the Kindle version of this book too.I am reading this along with the Sanskrit-Hindi version from gItA press. I had read the translation with commentary by Swami Chidanandapuri (in Malayalam) before this, but that is an ongoing series of books, and only the first 10 volumes (with one volume per chapter) have been out till now.One very nice feature of this book is that Swamiji cites the Sanskrit words from shlokas in his translation of the bhAShya, so that one understands exactly how well the bhAShya fits the shloka. This is extremely useful in improving one's skills in understanding bhAShyas written by Shankaracharya. This already excellent work would have been even better had the original text of Shankaracharya been included in it. I request this change to be made at least in the future Kindle versions, where size is not much of a concern.I think every Hindu should read the gItA along with the bhAShyas of the great classical vedAntic exegetes. This is a must to get a complete understanding of vedAnta.

Excellent translation and arguments
As every words meaning is given with context I could understand the meaning of shloka very well. Towards end I was able to understand the meaning of of shloka without reading the translation. The objections, counter arguments and the justification of Vedantin are so engrossing that it gives a very clear concept
