Excellent Substitute for GF Diets
Let's not fool ourselves, if you're not following a GF diet there's no reason to buy this product. It costs more than twice as much as Kraft's regular mac n' cheese, and you don't get as much product in the box. But for those of us who have to follow a GF diet, and who loved the regular stuff since we were kids, this is a fantastic substitute. The flavor is the same- I'm not 100% positive, but I'd be willing to bet the cheese packet is the same one they use in the regular box. The only difference is in the noodle texture. The noodles are slightly larger, and a bit more firm (which I actually kind of like, being a fan of al dente pasta). It's the second best GF mac n' cheese I've tried (the first being Kraft's Deluxe GF Mac n' Cheese). Enjoy!

Just like the real deal
I will start off by saying that I have been gluten-free for about 15 years now. There are a couple items you miss once you go gluten free. Usually it's bread. But having gone to school for a pastry degree, I haven't able to adapt many recipes from wheat to gluten-free successfully. Breads, cakes, you name it. However there are certain things that you just can't copy. One of them is Kraft macaroni and cheese. It's its own thing. So when this came out I was so excited to try it although hesitant, and I am so glad that I did.Gluten-free Kraft mac and cheese taste just like the original. When I tell you that I actually cried a little bit when I tried it, I wouldn't be lying to you. It has the same delicious, fake cheese goodness of Kraft Mac, the noodles are close enough that once it's covered with the cheese it's almost the same thing. The noodles are a little bitter on their own as a lot of gluten-free noodles can be, but once it's covered, like I said, it tastes the same. And yes after 15 years of being gluten-free how do I know if it's the same? well pretty much the same way I check to see if my gluten-free food is any good and comparable to the wheat ones any other day... I asked my wheat-eating husband to try it. He said it taste identical. So there you have it. If you have not tried it please try it.Also, I received this at a pretty decent price. It was only $1.99 here for a couple boxes and it can be up to almost $4 a box depending on the store that you're at locally. So I would say the value of getting from Amazon was a big one.

Tasty but smashed
Tastes great. The shipping method was terrible though. The boxes got smashed up, so noodles were spilling out of the box.

Kids love it
This is definitely the best taste, texture, and look of all the gluten free boxed mac and cheese. Kraft made it as close as they probably could have to the regular version. The price on Amazon is good on it most of the time too. It's so much more expensive to have to shop and eat gluten free unfortunately. While everyone is complaining about inflation and the cost of groceries, us special medically necessary diet shoppers never have had a break in spending so much extra for food. If you want to buy a loaf of bread you have a choice to spend .99 or $5. Not if you want to shop in a store on a medical gluten free diet. You spend an average of $5 - $6 on one tiny loaf of bread. You have a choice to spend .99 to $4 on a box of mac and cheese for your picky eater. But if you are medically required to eat gluten free or you will be ill, you have to spend and average of $3 for your picky kids. And a lot of the time even after paying so much more, the product isn't very good. This one does not disappoint.
