I've been letting my Macbook charge with this for long periods of time with no issues or apparent damage to battery life. There are two notable downsides:First off, I'm not sure I've ever handled a charging brick as hot as this one. The first time I used it, I thought maybe it was the outlet I had plugged into. I'm not sure it would be a stretch to say it hurt my hand to hold onto. When plugged into the outlet and not the MacBook, the light still shines to indicate that power is flowing, but the heat issue doesn't arise. Without a laptop connected, there is no noticeable heat on the brick.The other, smaller comment is that the prongs fold in separately. To my knowledge, this doesn't cause any real issues, though I imagine an electrician would know better. Maybe if by accident a prong folded in and only one was accidentally inserted into an outlet there could be some sort of risk. Otherwise, this really only makes it feel a bit flimsier.For the price, I don't think either of these are worth worrying too much about unless maybe you're someone who knows more about electrical safety than I do. It charges fast, it's cost-effective, and it looks fairly nice.

I ordered this charger a couple of weeks ago skeptical that it might not work on my 2022 MacBook Air. It seemed like it plugged into the USB-C port, and I was not sure if it could charge my computer's battery that way. But I needed to charge my battery, and I had left my Apple charger at home. I plugged in the charger and inserted the cord into the computer port. Soon a repeating beeping began and a window opened on my desktop warning mw that this device was not actually charging my battery. Pretty handy notice! So took a screen shot of the desktop and sent it along with an explanation to saturndock. A few days later I received a message from them saying the unit might be defective and they were sending me a replacement if I wanted it. I said Yes! A week went by. They never confirmed they were sending the replacement, but... in the mail came the replacement. I installed it and it charges the computer perfectly through the USB-C port!
