I love this Beautiful Bible!
I bought a My Promise Bible and three My Creative Bible (3 different covers) for my kids for Christmas. I love all four Bibles but the My Promise Bible is my favorite. I assumed that since they were all from the same company that the pages inside would be the same and that it was just the cover and endpapers that were different but the whole thing is different throughout. The My Promise Bible has a lot more pictures to color and the pictures relate a little better to the scripture stories. That said, the My Creative Bible still has plenty of pictures to color and lots of pretty verses drawn in calligraphy in the sidebars. It's very sturdy. The pages are thicker than what I'm used to for scriptures but thinner that typical paper. My oldest (13) is using colored pencils in hers but the youngest is only 4 and likes using markers and ballpoint pens. You can see it through the page but it doesn't actually bleed through to other pages so that's good. None of the pages have torn even with the rough handling of a 4yo which is more than I can say for some children's books. We study from them as a family a few times a week and started using them two months ago. These Bibles are great and I would definitely buy them again.

This has been one of my most favorite purchases from Amazon
This has been one of my most favorite purchases from Amazon. I've been wanting to join the bible journaling trend but found myself a bit hesitant. I'm just not the art-sy type. I wasn't comfortable free hand drawing. This is the perfect solution. This bible has hundreds of pre-drawn pictures all ready for me to color. Think of it as the ultimate coloring book for adults. I am able to read a few chapters and then meditate on and fill in with color each particular verse that has been illustrated. There is an illustration every few pages. I noticed the illustrations are on a grayscale while the actually text is a crisp black. The font is small, as with most journaling bibles, but larger than several I considered before purchasing this one. Even with hundreds of illustrations to color there is still plenty of room and empty, wide margins for note taking or drawing my own pictures. It's difficult to give extra wide margins and not cause the bible to be huge, unwieldy and heavy. I think the publishers of this bible have found a happy balance.I love personalizing my bible. I started reading and coloring in the book of Psalms. See the picture below for examples of how I colored it.I really like the cover. It is reminiscent of the old style family bibles from the 1800's. With elaborate tooling on the faux leather. It's just beautiful to look at. It has a convenient color matched elastic strap to hold the bible together and protect it when not in use. A soft, brown satin ribbon bookmark

LOVE
I absolutely LOVE my new bible!!! Got it about 2 months ago and still get excited every time it's time to read and feed my soul. Reading then coloring and reflecting about what I read is so therapeutic and calming. The pictures and words that I color turn out so pretty. Makes it seem like I'm a true artist.I have been using gel pens (from craft warehouse). A few of them bleed through, like the darker colors or if I press too hard/long with the pen while coloring and underlining. Colored penciled work great. Get good quality ones so the color pops. For the front/back cover pictures I used the extra fine tip permanent markers and pens since those pages are nice and thick. The font is perfect. It's not a heavy book. Comfortable enough to take it places. Love the front and back cover with the deep cherry color and embroidered looking design. Very fancy looking. One tip while coloring, place a folded piece of paper on the previous page so the pencils/pens don't level and indent on the other side. Also make sure to leave open for the gel pens to dry on the page. This is a wonderful gift idea. Just Beautiful and super!

A wonderful way to personalize your own bible
The media could not be loaded. This Bible is beautiful! It has places to put notes on the sides of the pages it has pics and scripture to color. It’s a way to make your Bible your own with your thoughts and creativity. I’m so glad I bought this Bible and even had a cute bookmark inside as a little surprise. I’m excited to dig in and make this my own. Great gift for anyone I really think this would make someone want to read their Bible especially when they can make it more personalized. Get it for yourself get it for someone else!

OMG GET THIS GET THIS GET THIS DONT EVEN THINK ABT IT GET THISSS!!!
The media could not be loaded. OMG IF U DONT HIT BUY RN! This thing is sooooo pretty and I have been wanting it for month and the price finally went down a bit. It’s a pretty brown color and has space for you to take notes, has cute coloring pages, and has the chapters in order. This Bible is the perfect size and If you are into the whole brown/beige trend u will love this but the brown is like a rich slightly maroon brown but still Get this, it’s so pretty and will motivate you to read by its beauty. DONT even think twice about it JUST get it ALREADY!! (It probably sounds like I’m hyping this up way too much but I’m being completely honest like you need this Bible in your life)

Love it! It's simple, yet elegant and works great with colored pencils!
I really like this Bible. It is the least ornate of the 3 or 4 versions. But the pictures are just as nice as the other Christian Arts "My Creative" KJV Bibles. I was hesitant to buy any journaling Bible because I had returned the "Beautiful Bible" for a defect and it's ultra thin paper. This Bible has normal Bible paper, a decent size font and this time I bought this type of Bible knowing that I would need to use colored pencils, rather than markers which all the websites seem to insinuate will work. They all bleed through. Just don't or test a blank page in the back before you ruin your new beauty. Prismacolor brand of colored pencils will make you VERY happy, as they color smoothly on this paper and have so much to offer in shading. Finally found the journaling Bible I will be happy with (until a publisher makes one with archival paper that doesn't allow bleed through of markers, highlighters and other more opaque art supplies).
