Everything works
This is a good complete kit. There's plenty of everything and it all works. The plastic pieces are strong. The wires are really thin, but good enough. The motors work well. The directions are next to useless, but you can find whatever you need to know online. Within 30 minutes, my 13 year-old had a working car with two drive wheels and a propeller. It really scooted across the floor! He used craft sticks and a hot glue gun to create the frame and hold the electrical parts in place. You also should probably have a soldering gun to secure the connections.

Great STEM kit.
The techie students in my class had a blast with these. 4 students created a museum for our simulated city project and had the “gift shop” just outside it. They made cars, fans, and other nifty creations with this kit. Very fun.

Great for young engineers!
Excellent for classes and projects. The nodes on the motors can be damaged of you aren’t careful but you can tape the wired parts after.

Yeah. Go ahead and buy it.
I had purchased a smaller (6 motors, etc.) , 3-volt version of this. It’s great. I ordered this for the higher-voltage motors. I mean come on, the price makes it worth the motors alone, and these switches… and everything else.

Fragile motor connections. Not great for kids.
The connections on these motors are sooooooo bad. They break very easily - soldered or not. Also not that great for kids. Not easy to use. I ended up getting Snap Circuits and we are much happier with them.
