I feel like mine is quiet, I do have the tv on playing a Peleton app when I ride so there is some back ground noise.

If you just want the bike and not the app with payment, is there still a way to track watts-distance etc...?

There is an app called qdomyos-zwift. It will track all the information and it will even connect to the bike and control the resistance. It will also connect to the peloton and other apps if you use different training programs.

What are the base dimensions? Would a mat 24" by 46" be large enough?

does it havw a cadence monitor?

You can monitor your cadence through the echelon app. If you don't want the subscription you still find all your metrics under more/freestyle ride
