Because this is gelatin and not a vegetable capsule it melts a bit slower which isn’t a problem but is sticky when you touch it. I couldn’t use it the first night because it wouldn’t slide through. I used a moisturizing suppository instead. The following night i used it and it was easier. I wouldn’t use the applicator. I’m not sexually active and don’t feel like fumbling with those sharp edges. very uncomfortable. But this lowered by pH to a 4. I didn’t have BV. But this is very good for maintenance and encouraging a healthy vaginal environment. I suppose this would help others with smelling as well because it does seem to treat BV.

I've been struggling with BV and/or odor for a while now. I really think I need to do a diet overhaul go on antibiotics. This product WORKS amazingly well, but it burns pretty badly. The burn sets in overnight to where if I wasn't waking up with a baby, I might not really notice. But until baby is sleeping through the night, I don't think I can handle these multiple days in a row. Unfortunately, the odor creeps back in a day or two after I stop using these. The pH gel is a little bit gentler and works also. It's not quite as strong in terms of pain and effectiveness.

This stuff is GOLD. It works almost immediately to keep my pH balanced. I am so glad my doctor recommended this.

No pain no odor. Just use a liner. Worked wonders for me and brought my PH levels down to normal. I typically use before and after my period due to the spike in hormones.

I experienced brown discharge after each use, and I'm uncertain about the cause. It typically lasts for about a day, followed by a musty odor. I will not buy this product again and will return to using boric acid suppositories.

Had it managed and in remission for a year by cutting out gluten all processed sugar, keeping clean before and after sex, etc, and a round of antibiotics threw me into a tailspin for months. Infections eventually cleared, but ph was chronically elevated and everything felt off. Boric acid which used to work no longer did. After a thorough search I saw this and thought--maybe this might do it. Day 1 I didn't feel worse and felt slightly better Day 2 I started wondering if somehting was happening. checked ph--normal for the first time in I can't remember. Day 3 Felt ok, but burning starting. Felt like the beginning of a UTI? Haven't had one of those in a while.... it was the weekend so I took an OTC test for a UTI--positive for leukocytes.. wtf?! I'm overly obessed with washing my hands and vagina before inserting anything and peeing post insertion of suppostories. Wondering if the discharge that comes from the suppostory infected my urethra? This is the only change, and I'm SO upset. So now I may need abx. Great. And no refunds on this...Wasted money, and possibly making things worse. God help me. ***Update: Went from 2 stars to 3 because customer service was very kind and helpful and is helping me with a a refund. I got results today that confirmed a UTI--customer service said this is very rare and homepathy is very diluted and likely not the cause, but they are looking into possible reformulation. I'm extremely sensitive, so it may just be me, but the kindness and understanding goes a long way with me. Will try to update if needed. Update 2: they did refund my money, which was greatly appreciatied. Customer service gets 5 stars. I still have concerns about this product for me. I am very sensitive, and this UTI is the worst one Ive ever gotten with multiple strains of bacteria and required a re-check which was a first for me--and the first UTI I've gotten in about 2 or 3 years. Correlation may not be causation, but for me personally I cannot use it again. I hope anyone who decides to use it has a better result than me.***
