Super reliable!
This pump does a great job in our 3 foot deep fountain with a waterfall 2 feet above the surface. It's home to 3 goldfish, 2 shubunkin, a water lily, and a number of other plants on the perimeter.

Compact and high quality
Really nice pond pump. It is smaller than other similarly rated types I've used in the past. The quality is excellent. It started pumping with less output than I expected, but then after 2 weeks, the flow seems significantly higher... I think it actually needed some break-in time (because of extra tight seals?) Anyway, the pump is doing its job well and the quality seems great - and you can't beat the warranty. Definitely worth its higher price, in my opinion.

Great little pump that’s very durable.
I’ve been running this pump on my 200 gallon fish tank for more than 30 years. It runs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Every 5-10 years I replace it. Highly recommend the Danner line of pumps.

Great pump but be gentle on fittings
Bought this pump to use with a UV filter for my salt water tank even tho it is a pondmaster. Only thing different between this one and a 700 is the length of the power cord and the price. This model is less expensive. I have been running the pump for about a week now and it seems to be doing it job really well.Just be careful when attaching threaded parts to the cover. I was attaching a bard to fit the tubes to when screwing the male end in, the female on the cover cracked. Yes I know this can happen if you screw it in too tight but that was not the case here. It was only half way in! I was able to order just a new cover for the pump and this one held up great. Don't know if I just got a bad one or not but now everything works as it should.

Strong Pump
Promt shipping & is exactly as advertised. My pond was filling up with algae even with a UV light. Figured out that I needed a bigger pump & this one is a beast. My waterfall is now able to operate as needed.

Great replacement
Pump works as promised. I needed to replace my 5+ year pump that died and this works perfectly.

Works in a grey water irrigation system too
I bought this to power my grey water irrigation system. It came with a rigid pre-filter, which has been a nice extra. It sits in the bottom of a large 40 gallon Rubbermaid trash can and I attached 1/2 inch black drip irrigation tubing to it, cut a hole high up in the side of the trash can and ran the tubing through that (put an elbow on the tubing so it would not crimp) and then ran the tubing across my yard to the far side and have attached an old-fashioned plastic yellow circular ring sprinkler on it that I can move around the yard. I empty water from my washing machine into the trash can and when it gets full, I plug in the pump and run it to water my yard.At first, I tried it with the kind of sprinkler that throws out a jet of water and pivots around the yard, so I could leave it in one place and water everything. It was supposed to work with low-pressure systems. However, this pump did not produce enough water pressure to work that sprinkler head.I switched to the ring sprinkler and the pump works like a champ. It pumps the water in the tubing straight up 26 inches to exit the trash can, and then about 50ft across the lawn, and still has enough pressure to make the sprinkler ring throw the water about 6 feet in diameter and 3-4 feet in the air.I filter the water before I put it in the trash can, but even so, there is some fine lint that collects on the pump and on its pre-filter. However, the pump seems to handle this just fine. I have been using it 2-3 times a week for three months so far, and it is working just as well as when I started. I am very happy with this low-cost solution to my grey water irrigation.

Poor quality
I bought a danner 950 pump about 14 months ago and it already stopped working. They don’t allow you to add an extra warranty so I’m stuck buying another pump already. It was only used about 8 hours a day, and not exposed to the outdoor elements. Very disappointed in their product
