This soap smells amazing — the lavender is relaxing and the oatmeal gives it a nice, natural feel. It gets my skin super clean and lathers really well on my loofah. It does dry my skin out just a little, but I use shower oil afterward and it works perfectly. It also layers nicely with my other shower products. The bar arrived in great condition, and the size is generous for the price. Definitely happy with this purchase!

Makes my face feel clean naturally. No harsh stuff. I will be buying this again.

I like this soap! The smell is really invigorating. When I first opened the box, I was really excited to use it the same day because it just smelt so great!In terms of skin improvements, the first few days of use, my body skin felt soft but I saw some bumps on my face, and I wasn't pleased with that. I typically do not have bumps when I use Dove originals soap, but I had wanted to switch to something more organic that would actually improve the health and quality of my skin. I was thinking of not buying this again, but I had decided to stick to trying for a week.I'm glad I did, because by the end of the week/beginning of the next week, my skin looked really lovely. I was practically glowing and my skin felt really nice and comfortable. Disclaimer: I also use castor oil and aloe vera gel on my face so these products contribute to my results, but I do believe the charcoal soap played a big role in clarifying my skin by bringing out the impurities lying in the layers of my skin. This was probably why I saw the initial bumps.I also gave my mother some of the soap to use (I broke off a piece for her to try) as she had really bad skin due to using toxic skin care products for many years. She had itchy red hives all over her face because of those products that she had to cover with makeup. She tries this soap and, for the first few days, she had similar reaction as mine. A few bumps popping up on her face. But then there was a noticeable change in the quality of her skin after only a week of use. Her skin now looks softer, supple, and she has a youthful glow! (she also uses aloe vera and castor oil). Now she wants to buy 3 more bars and I even advised her to go makeup free because she will soon not need it!This soap is really a must try. It even keeps away mosquitos, apparently!I docked one star only because it can be messy to use in a white shower. You have to be mindful of how you use the soap, but I think that's just characteristic of using charcoal products. But this is one small detail in all the great benefits of use!

The lemongrass lavender scent is out of this world. I usually am not a fan of lavender, but something about this one is amazing. I literally stand in the shower and just smell the soap before using it. It lathers well, does not cause irritation to my face, and makes my face feel so clean! To help prolong the bar, I just cut off a chunk use that rather than using the entire bar. Doing this has helped it last for months. Great quality and value.

For me the scent is too strong. I doubt I would use it in the summer time as I live in an area that has lots of mosquitoes and this would definitely draw them.The pumice is a little too harsh for me. I could not run it directly on my arm. I have sensitive skin so it was somewhat painful to run the soap directly against my skin. I needed to lather it first in my hand before use.That being said it worked very well for Pilaris keratosis (aka chicken bumps).Most likely I will continue to use Pilaris keratosis only.

My husband switched to this soap about 2 or so years ago, and has never gone back to anything else (unless they are back ordered). It always leaves his skin feeling new. He can literally peel the dead skin from his face every time he uses it, and his acne flair-ups happen maybe twice a year. He loves this soap. There is an adjustment period, if you have never used exfoliating type soaps before. Still recommend.

This had been my go to soap for years and will continue to be as long as it is available!
