This is THE keyboard/cover design to beat… AND works with 2021 model!
Yes, the 2021 12.9 iPad Pro fits!… albeit, very, very tightly. So, I’m going to add some cushiony tape around the edges to help compensate in case of a drop. But more than worth the risk due to this simple fact: it is THE best keyboard/cover design around! The way the keyboard attaches at a slight incline, exactly how Microsoft designed the Surface Pro keyboards — along with the perfect snap into place that happens automagically via magnets… it is PERFECT… though, technically, that incline is less healthy for your wrists if you’re seated at a table; but I’m typically reclined in bed when I’m using it, so it’s appreciated! AND you could always detach it and use it completely flat — being bluetooth, it doesn’t need to be attached to work.ALSO — they have NAILED the stand with this model (and taken a clumsy step back with its replacement) — no unstable kickstand to bite into your legs; instead, you have this very sturdy-feeling foot that folds down, providing MUCH more surface area for much greater support. The keys are snappy, feel great to type on. Appreciate the backlighting as well. Another thing that’s apparent after using the 11-in iPad with the Zagg SlimBook Go (which led me to buying this model) — the 12.9 size is noticeably more comfortable in width. Just FYI for anyone on the fence between the two.The detachable cover (always a great feature), despite being a couple of millimeters too small to TRULY fit my 2021 PERFECTLY (and again, it’s not meant to), is an excellent design, with a perfectly functional pencil slot — and the fact the stand is ATTACHED TO THE COVER and travels with it, providing that functionality without the keyboard, is a no-brainer of a design decision that many other keyboard-cover combos are missing.Well done, whoever at Zagg was responsible for creating this masterpiece — so well done, I’m choosing it over newer models meant to replace it!ZAGG — reassess your design decisions, and update this genius design for current and future iPad models, please!!

Fits m1 iPad Pro and much better than the magic keyboard.
Fits M1 iPad Pro a bit snug but rugged case. Alot better than the magic keyboard so many positions you can use it in. Keyboard detaches and can work in different configurations. Wish it had stronger magnets on the keyboard but it's great.

It's a buy for me
I brought this for my iPad pro and I like it. It has a nice and easy typing experience . You don't have to fight the keys and it doesn't feel cramped and require awkward positioning. I love that the keyboard detaches and has a stand to keep it upright in several positions. It a eems to offer good protection only 1 drop so far. 😬. I was also able to get on a tempered glass cover and matter film to make it more paperlike when writing and still have it fit in the case. (Probably better to put them on after the case. I did the opposite and it was tough getting it in)The negatives:1. It is HEAVYbut I would rather have the protection it offers the device than something like the magic notebook which offers none2. No tackpad 😟Which I don't understand because there is ample room for it3. Keyboard cannot attach to the back of the iPad screen for safe keeping in tablet mode or fold under ( if that makes sense). You can remove it which remedies that but have another option would just be extra sauce

rugged-ized, sans rugged-izing ?
as compared to a ZAGG 'rugged-ized' keyboard case that's six years older, this new keyboard case from ZAGG doesn't measure up. this one is ho-hum at best. its a cruddy design, and it isn't rugged. its just expensive.compared to the other, much older ZAGG 'rugged-ized' keyboard case, this product neither looks rugged-ized, nor does it feel / behave that way, but that is what i was expecting this time around, too. this case makes the iPad Pro into a laptop that falls apart at the screen / keyboard seam. and it does fall apart at that seam if you're not careful enough.this update has pics to help see new v. old comparisons more easily. there's also a pic of the new case’s home for the new Apple Pencil. that new pencil is shown in this pic too.*one star lost for worsening iPad device protection*another star lost for flawed design that makes the case far less usable, especially when you're on the go.*a third star lost for worsening how rugged the ZAGG keyboard's protection is. with both old and new, the cases' keyboards require careful handing and attention so they aren't damaged into disrepair; however, with the older ZAGG rugged-ized case, you have a lot better ways to keep the keyboard protected and stowed away when you're not in need of it. incredibly, those options are lost with this new case.more details...my comparisons are with the my first ZAGG 'rugged-ized' keyboard case for an iPad Air 2. it is six years old, and with this case the actual iPad is good as new condition. literally, apple should pay me to put this device in their retired device museum. there isn't a scratch on it. and i am a careless brute of a user. the keyboard on the case isn't stellar, but it still works. the protection the old case has provided seems to have earned ZAGGs 'rugged-ized' label. by comparison, this new case feels a lot more like a scam that takes advantage of repeat customers than another case from ZAGG that earns it's 'rugged-ized' branding.the new case doesn't seem to be in the same 'rugged-ized' class anymore at all. i guess i need to be a lot more careful, and hope for the best. i sure paid for it. i won't by another ZAGG product again without a lot more vetting first. The design of the older ZAGG keyboard case is much better. it allows you to flip the case inside out the way you do a paperback book. It is perfectly capable of this and designed for it. The new ZAGG case is not at all capable of this. You can mimic an open book only, but you do risk coming apart at the binder.this new ZAGG 'ruggedized' keyboard case is for an apple iPad 2020+ Pro. the case is made of different materials, and it's not the different materials i call into question. it is the design. it offers nowhere near the protection to the device. if the case is open and the part of the case that wraps the iPad were to suffer a countertop-level fall you should expect there might be catastrophic device damage. this case will not protect the device sufficiently.the new keyboard part of the case already did suffer a countertop-level fall after failing at the keyboard seam. it suffered case de-lamination at the palm-rest, and needed to be put back together. it is not altogether what is was and it never will be. the keyboard still works, but it is a lesson learned for me.the new case design is also limited in its capabilities compared with the old. you can't flip the keyboard/iPad relationship so that the iPad is perching in viewing mode with the keyboard behind it. i found that design feature quite useful with the better, older case. it doesn't exist with this new case.

Frustrated
I liked my old zag case, but this one the magnet is worthless. It constantly separates from the keyboard and the case. I’m upset I wasted my money, I’m buying a apple magic keyboard! My last case would not stay charged or connect Good. This one does do fairly well at that, but I’m concerned about the protection of my device. The keyboard also lags a lot when using it.

Didn’t work
Great looking case and very substantial feeling. The keyboard connected to the iPad easily but the big problem was there were a number of keys that wouldn’t work. It’s like there were dead spots in the keyboard. Returning and looking for other options.
