Shea Moisture’s Brighter Days Ahead Night Cream was a gem to find & was exactly what I was looking for in a night cream. I’ve been using nightly for 1 week. This doesn’t usually happen with me but within this week I’ve noticed a changeable notice in the brightness of my skin. Each morning my skin was brighter upon waking. I feel the 3 key ingredients play a factor in this cream producing such results. #1 Papaya: is a good skin moisturizer that has a high concentration of antioxidants & enzymes to aid in treating dry, flaky skin & restores the natural skin moisture. #2 Yuzu Lemon: helps with collagen production which blurs the fine lines & wrinkles & improves the skin’s elasticity. #3 Vitamin C is hydrating, brightening, helps reduce redness, even out your skin tone, fade hyperpigmentation, reduce the appearance of under eye circles & promotes collagen production. These are phenomenal ingredients Shea Moisture put together in this night cream! The cream is a bit heavy. I applied too much the first night. In realizing this, the next night I took 1/4 of what I applied the night before & it spread perfectly & evenly around my face & neck. It’s super moisturizing hence the ingredients in the cream. It does have a bit of a citrus scent to it. So if you don’t like fragrance in your skin products this isn’t for you. This 2 ounce jar is small but the benefits reap the cost & a little goes a long way! This jar will last me awhile. My night regime will now consist of this cream one night & the continuing of Neutrogena’s Retinol Cream the other night, which I’ve been using for years. I feel my skin will continue to look healthy as I age. I’m happy I browsed for an additional night cream & found this! This is well worth trying. I ordered this product today and it arrived the same day. As soon as it arrived I cleansed my face and tried the product.1) A little goes a long way, you just need to dab a little on your cheeks, forehead and chin and massage it in.2) It leaves your skin feeling so silky and smooth. It's not greasy and heavy3) It has a scent but it's very mild. I can't really describe the scent. I was expecting it to be more "citrusy" but it has a very mild scent. I was not bothered by the scent at all and I have a very sensitive nose.As I stated earlier, I just received the product today. As far as results go as it pertains to brightening and clearing dark spots, I would give an update in a few weeks, hence the reason for the 4 star rating. I have very sensitive/problematic skin, severe hyperpigmentation and scarring, so I am hoping that I see some results. Of course this is not the only product I use for my skin regimen. I use other products that contain Vitamin C and Turmeric. As a moisturizer, I like what I feel so far. Until next time- Happy Shopping!!!

Used it for almost 3 months but couldn't see any results. Smell is good but not effective for its major purpose.

This moisturizer goes on a little heavy but sinks in after several minutes and leaves my skin so soft by morning. (NOT a morning product!!! ) It has a pleasant smell and I can tell the jar will last a LONG time. No safety seal on the jar itself, but I could tell the package was new. I would recommend this definitely!

This cream has brightened my skin & even faded a dark spot on my cheek. I realize everyone has different types of complexions but for me, this cream performed like the very expensive face creams.
