Best bottled barbecue sauce if you love Carolina ribs and don't want to make your own. It has that Carolina flavor that tang that's gets you in the back of your mouth.

I grew up on SC mustard-based BBQ (mostly from Maurice's Piggie Park). You can get that Southern Gold sauce shipped out west, but it costs more per ounce than than actual gold. I've tried just about every version of "mustard" sauce available here, but it's almost all honey mustard, which isn't the same thing at all. I didn't have high hopes for this Cattleman's Carolina sauce, especially given the cheap price, but it's AMAZING. Incredible on pulled pork, chicken, ribs, probably even salad, although I haven't tried that yet. The only upgrade I made to it was to add a little Trappey's Hot Pepper sauce. (actually, just the vinegar from their hot peppers in vinegar, but I add more vinegar to the bottle and keep the sauce flowing) Utter perfection!

I saw these for $3.38 and ordered 3 bottles. After receiving, did the open the bottle taste test. I am not a mustard based sauce person but this one is tasty. Slight mustard, followed by slight sweet, followed by very slight tang on tail end. Very nice that the 3 flavors are in stages. No salt or vinegar taste like others. Last night did the final test at dinner. Poured a small amount of wife's air fried pork chop and waited. She is not a sauce fan but right away said "this is good". So at this price and with an expiration in 2025, I ordered 6 more to carry me thru next year. When Amazon has a good deal on sauces like this one, I stock up before they sell out. Can't wait to try on air fried chicken thighs. Very tasty

This sauce holds up to the Carolina mustard style of the region. Not overwhelming mustardy. Great for ribs, nuggets, and dipping everything. I like it on crinkle-cut fries.

i had this sauce on a burger on a vacation and i literally walked into the kitchen to ask what sauce it is. i ordered it at the table. i recommend this to everyone. i bring it everywhere. this goes on everything. if i had three wishes they would all be unlimited cattlemen's carolina gold bbq sauce.
