What a bargain! Brilliant!
I have thick hair that will not hold a curl! I have tried ghd curve wand and returned it as the curls were gone in an hour and a similar story for the Dyson airwrap. I could never master the straightener curls either so I wasn't holding out too much hope for this....The BaByliss Curl Luxe is very easy to use, has a stay cool tip which means I can use the heated plates like a straightener if needed before rotating the barrel easily to create the curl! What makes a massive difference is the fact that it can cool the curl as soon as it's made (and the cooling function can be deactivated if you don't need it) which makes the curl last longer in my hair.It has 3 settings for heat and I found mine needed highest setting.I did my whole head of curls in about 30 mins using this, compared to 45mins to an hour with the other two brands. The curls lasted & left me with lovely waves the next day, and that's using minimal hair products, I think if I had used a lot of mousse it would have lasted longer. It heats up quickly, came with a small heat mat and fairly long cable.I'm so pleased that I took a chance on this for under £24 - especially as it is still £65 on other sites!! I'm very pleased with the resulting curls!

Absolutely brilliant!
What a bargain for £20! I usually use a GHD curling wand but after a few years it has stopped working and was gutted. I can’t really justify buying another one so I have trawlers through reviews on different hair curlers. I have had BaByliss products in the past and have always been happy with them so for £20 I thought I would give it a go!Wow I am really impressed! It’s so easy to use! I use it like a air straighter and clamp at the root, twist 360deg then pull through. I get fantastic curls which I have brushed out to give me soft waves. My hair is thick and long (between shoulder and boob) and I have cracked a method which works for me, I do not section the hair around the crown, I section the hair down the middle then curl each side from the back in one layer (piece my piece). It’s very quick and not hot to touch which was a bonus. It is a little noisy (not silent like a straightener) a little more like a heated hair brush. But it gives a great shine to the hair and the curls last a few days. Yes I do touch them up a little bit it takes 10mins!I would highly recommend them and have to friends who have now bought them.

Very easy to use seems to not over heat hair with the cooling on barrel - great for a teen
Was very hesitant to buy my teen a curler. I didn’t want her to burn herself or her hair. After reading a lot of reviews I decided to try this one. It has a cooler on outside to cook hair down after heating which has the added advantage it’s not so hot to touch as the heating parts are inside. Still requires careful handling but much easier than traditional curling tongs.I watched a video on line how to create curls and I highly recommend doing so as it’s not intuitive. However once you know how it’s very very easy!Received last night and had a try. It worked very well. And curls had actually stayed in over night. Also attempted to straighten a section which seems possible but obviously with no cooling effect as the straightening happens just like a normal straightener and the cooling only when you twist around the barrel. For a beginner / teen it’s brilliant! Can highly recommend.

I don't recommend
I couldn't make it work on my hair. Still prefer my Remington hot air brush. For me it was a waste of money

So easy to use
I've never had any luck curling my hair before (or written a review for anything) but this product is so great it made it easy! Heats up quickly, I'd read reviews saying it was noisy but I didn't find it loud at all. My hair is thick and long so I divided it into small sections and used the highest heat settings. Place the barrels over your section of hair, twist 180 degrees and glide down. It moves smoothly without pulling your hair and gives an instant lovely curl. A really lovely touch is that the outside of the barrel doesn't get hot so if you're new to curling and awkward about where to put your hands (like me!) you're not going to burn yourself. The tight curls all over looked great but I found when I brushed it through it left me with a really lovely wave which I preferred. Just waiting to see how long the curls last but at the moment they seem pretty set in place. Overall a brilliant curler for creating waves easily.

Doesn't work properly and I'm scared of it!
I used this twice in a week when I first got it. That's all of the use I've had.Initially, it was fine. Easy to use, got to a safe heat that you could hold comfortably without burning yourself, required a couple of turns on some hairs to make them take but overall great. On the third attempt to use it after two successful goes, I gave it 2 minutes to warm up. 30 seconds in, it began making a humming noise. I know hairdryers can start ticking if they get too hot so I thought maybe it was this, even though it was on the lowest setting (I'd used higher before) and I'd only just plugged it in. So I unplugged it and let it cool down. Came back 45 minutes later, turned it on again. Immediately, it made noise - buzzing now, not humming. It became boiling to touch as the buzzing intensified. I immediately switched off and unplugged for fear it might start sparking.I have tried twice more since then over the last fortnight, in different plug sockets, and the exact same thing has happened. I do not feel it is safe to use and I am scared of shortcircuiting my power or even causing a fire.I'm gutted but I can't justify the risk of using it. I wouldn't recommend this particular product given the problems I am having with it. But, on the whole, I usually love Babyliss products, this one just doesn't feel tried and tested enough to guarantee it is safe.
