Does anyone know if i need just these tablets to clean an eq300? bit confusing as there are two types of tablets.

There are 2 different tablets. One (large) goes in your water container and one (small) goes in brewing unit - TZ80001B.

When do you use this tablet? Does the machine indicate to do so?

If you have a connected machine " MINE IS EQ 700" download the app home connect and this will tell you all sorts of statistics, how many coffees you have made and of which type also indicates how many drinks till each item of maintenance including cleaning descaling and changing filter, And what I found to my amazement was its like 250 drinks until filter needs changing " Ever had a Brita they reckon once a month to change reckon tut tut" You can even make a drink with your mobile on way home just make sure you turn start up rinse off, mind you I don't use this because I warm my cup up first anyway hope this helped.
