A nice pan for small meals and maybe for tamagoyaki omeletes
This is a very nice little cast iron pan that could be used to make Japanese tamagoyaki omelets as some people have suggested. I have attached a side by side photo with a real tamagoyaki pan I got for $8 at Daiso. You can see that the real tamagoyaki pan is the same width, but it is a couple inches longer and a little deeper. This Lodge pan would work for tamagoyaki, but it might be difficult to roll the omelet. However, the Lodge pan is a very good quality cast iron pan that is well worth the price. So far I have used it to fry eggs, and I made some square pancakes. I also made a grilled cheese sandwich, and it works great for all of those. This is the perfect size for a quick small meal. I probably won't use it for tamagoyaki omelettes, but I think it could work if you didn't have a real tamagoyaki pan. It would be awesome if Lodge would make a tamagoyaki pan for a good price.

Perfect Little Skillet for Eggs and Everyday Use
I picked up the Lodge 5.5-inch Wonder Skillet mainly to cook eggs, and it’s been fantastic. It comfortably fits 2–3 large eggs, making it ideal for quick breakfasts without dragging out a full-size pan. The compact size heats up fast and evenly, and the pre-seasoned surface gives a nice nonstick effect once it’s broken in.To boost the seasoning, I gave it a quick oil rub and baked it in the oven at 400°F for an hour. That extra layer made a noticeable difference—eggs slide around easier, and cleanup is even smoother. It’s now a go-to pan in my kitchen.I love how sturdy it feels—classic Lodge quality. It holds heat beautifully, which means my eggs cook evenly with no hot spots. Cleanup is easy too: I just rinse with hot water, scrub with salt if needed, dry it on the stove, and rub in a little oil before storing. It’s always easy and ready to go next time.Whether you’re making eggs, toasting nuts, or whipping up a grilled cheese, this little skillet is surprisingly versatile. Great for small kitchens, side dishes, or anyone who wants a reliable cast iron pan without the bulk.

Tiny But Mighty: Lodge's 5.5-inch Skillet
This little Lodge cast iron skillet is a gem. Perfectly sized for individual meals, it's ideal for frying eggs, paninis, or even a single serving of fajitas. The pre-seasoning is excellent, and the skillet heats evenly. It's also surprisingly heavy for its size, which helps with heat retention. This is a fantastic addition to any kitchen, especially if you're short on counter space.

Nice pan but short side walls
It's a great litte pan. Not sure on its best use though. Great for sunnyside up eggs. Scrambled eggs on the other hand are harder because of the short sides, easy to flick out food on accident.

Cute but not too small.
These are great for making an individual cookie dessert. I also ordered Lodge handle covers for each one so I don't have to worry so much about my family burning themselves. They are the size of a piece of bread.

Excellent quality
Really like this pan to make Square Pizza in....... I've used it on the cooktop and in the oven utilizing the bake or broil controls.....I don't have my recipe perfect yet,But the crisp is unmatched,,,,,,, because of its small size,The crispy part of the pizza is the majority,,,,,Rather than just a small portion,,Like with a larger pan.....Love this thing.... Seems like would be perfect for sandwiches as well but I can't stop making pizza with it

A bit deceiving, but still good
It's cool but yeah, I was absolutely thrown off by how small it is. It's a sawed off cast iron mini skillet. Emphasis on mini. That should've been clearly mentioned

Too small
Not what I expected. Its very small. It looked bigger on the website. I didn’t see any measurements.
