Dee Jay Bad Man Review A superb collection of rare tracks by highly recognized dancehall DJ and MC, Beenie Man!With a vicious flare for poitically potent lyrics, Beenie Man rose to worldwide popularity in the tumultuous early 90s and has gone on to become one of Jamaica s most celebrated musical talents!Beenie Man rocks the turntables and the mic on stellar tracks such as The Magnificent, Straight Tradings, Ring My Bell, Anytime and many more!A brand new Beenie Man album will be released in July 2004 and a massive tour is planned! One of the all-time great ragga DJs, Beenie Man - so named for his diminutive size - began his career in Jamaica at the tender age of eight when he recorded his first single with famed producer Henry Junjo Lawes. For his debut album, *The Incredible Ten Year Old DJ Wonder*, Beenie teamed with veteran producer Bunny Striker Lee and both watched as the album sparked a national sensation. During the tumultuous early 90s, Beenie honed a vicious flare for politically potent lyrics, turning headlines about AIDS, the Gulf War and the death of Bob Marley into passionate, rhythmically sophisticated rants. But Beenie s music always maintained a hip, danceclub-friendly style, proven by the numerous club hits he s racked up over the years. This exciting compilation showcases both of Beenie s strong suits - passionate lyrics and stellar reggae beats - and features 21 incredible tracks from several different periods. If you are a newcomer to ragga music or a long-time veteran, this compilation is a necessary addition to your collection and a fantastic overview of the music of The Magnificent Beenie Man! --Cleopatra Records

Huge disappointment!
Didn't appreciate any of these songs, and Beenie Man was not present as I expected.

Good Album
This is a great album from a veteran artist....that review with that "dude" who talks about his "issue" of this being a homophobic album must have hit his head with a blunt object...hate it or love it all Jamaican music is anti homosexuall its a culturall thing...dont like it; then dont buy it...there are a lot of pro homosexuall artist`s and organizations out there ...leave our culture alone..it deserves respect for what it is, not what you want it to be.
