Awesome!
Who would have thought you could take an old gameboy game and shrink it down into just the guns and be plug and play too. What a great game! My son is having a blast! Get through the levels and be rewarded with additional games. Great product!Perhaps changing the batteries would help those having troubles? The thing eats a lot of power from only batteries.

EXPENSIVE
Understanding the age of the game I know not to expect 4K quality on screen and all. It also may be "hard to find" this console considering the rarity of it today, but for $225? Maybe this is meant more as a collector's item just to say you have one, but for the quality of this gaming system I give it 2 stars. Totally not worth the price.

Don't waste your time
Very frustrating set up. Poor design... Have to recalibrate the gun every time you power on and off. It is totally hit-and-miss and only works when it wants to. I got it to work one time... And even still it didn't feel right. With all the cords that you need to plug in it looks like a mess and it's still all powered by batteries, The guns and the sensor... Put your money towards the actual arcade game, or Get the game through an actual gaming system.... for what this is it should be a 39.99 price point maximum.

Hard on batteries
The game is fun, but we found that we had to use only one gun when playing and just take turns. we really wish that both guns ran off separate batteries b/c they don't work well together. This game really goes through batteries!! Don't buy cheap or try to use up old, they need to be new and perfectly charged batteries. we also found that during the day time or in direct sunlight you can't play this game as it doesn't read when you are shooting. my kids love the extra games on here but the deer hunt is a bit too hard for the younger ones and more fun for the adults and older children that play. Too bad you get penalized for shooting the does....not real life in that regard at all, need to manage herd population. a game would be a great place to teach that!

This version is no longer manufactured
The premise of this shooting game is excellent - offering a video game that plugs directly into a TV so you don't have to purchase a Wii or Play Station to use it. But there's good reason this two-gun version of Big Buck Hunter is no longer manufactured: we used it properly for only two days when the view finder stopped working on one of the guns, rendering it useless. The good news is that the manufacturer will replace it with the single gun version, as well as an additional toy, but the bad news is that two children can't play at the same time.

maybe but fickle
This is a game our entire family was looking forward to. I have to say that I, mom, am a huge fan of the big game version of Buck Hunter. We have played this game a few times. My issues are that the guns (or should I say the target) bounces around at times. It is much more difficult to shoot than the bar version. Sometimes after we have calibrated the guns, I still can't get the target to hit the deers! But then again, my son is having better luck with it at times. So it is a great concept and a good game, but I don't know how well it is going to work for us yet. And it only has the deers to hunt, I was hoping for some elk and etc.
