Space saving and cooks like it should!
I've been known to purchase refurbs before and never had any problems.......this was no exception! Works great! Just like new! I decided on this one because 1. It's the perfect serving size for one person and 2. You can select your doeness and 3. It's not a freaking Belgian waffle maker!!! Those things are everywhere?! You really have to look to find the classic style waffle maker? What's up with that? Anyway, this little thing cooks waffles great! Very easy to clean even when you run the batter over?! Just wipe it off while it's still warm with a paper towel or dishcloth and you're done. Heats up pretty fast too. I took a picture of the waffle I made with the setting just a little over the recommended setting #3, it did not disappoint me. Came out perfect, crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. My waffle isn't as puffed up as an original waffle would be, because I've been experimenting with Almond flour and Tapioca starch, But I have to say, it was very tasty! Threw on some real melted butter and some Natural unstrained Honey and it's the bomb! Are you still wondering what those two little notches on the left side of the waffle iron are for? Those are for when you're done and wrapping the cord around the waffle maker, you then insert the end of the plug prongs into the notches so it holds the lid together, then you can store it upright without it falling open. Needs a little fine tuning, but it works. Very space saving. Very pleased with this purchase and would recommend it to anyone.

Follow the Cuisinart Instructions.
I bought a refurbished version of this waffle maker. I works great! It was a real struggle to ignore all the reviewer suggestions about pam and other seasoning schemes. I followed the Cuisinart instructions and tested with a 1/2 size version of their cornbread waffle recipe. For years, I have been spraying my waffle maker with oil sprays and pretty much writing off the first waffle of every batch as guaranteed to stick and be torn to pieces. Not this time. No spray, just heated up the unit till the light turned green, poured in the batter, waited for the light to go green again. If the waffle had stopped steaming, I popped open the maker and retrieved a perfect waffle, and another, and another... With no oily spray all over the waffle maker clean up was also super easy. The cord wraps nicely around the unit and it stands up so it doesn't use much cabinet space. The only issue I found was that the temperature control knob is a little sloppy; I'm surprised that the refurbishers didn't fix that. It works so well that I'm not sending it back for that flaw.

I like this waffle maker!
I bought another waffle maker and didn't like the size of the holes in the waffles. This one makes traditional American waffles. Some reviews said they had trouble with it heating up enough so I bought a refurbished one that I knew they had worked on. It heats quickly and I only use the 2.5 setting (it goes to 5) so it is plenty hot enough. I found it works better with a batter where you separate the eggs and whip the egg whites. This makes a thicker batter that is easier to manage. I use a gravy ladle and two scoops is enough to fill the center leaving about an inch for it to spread. No problems and clean up is easy.

I'm totally pleased1
Iam so pleased with this product! I used it within a couple of hours after receiving it and it was so simple. The waffle came out absolutely perfect; I didn't have to adjust the temperature at all. The waffle came out easily; the clean-up was a breeze. This is an excellent product by a well-known manfuacturer.

Just what I wanted -- sturdy unit with minimal design and great price.
Yes!! This waffle iron is great. It's nice and heavy so it won't flop around on your counter as you fill / open the iron. Plenty of play in the hinge to let your waffle fluff up a little bit.Really like the thin / classic shape-- it takes less waffle batter than a belgian waffle and works much better as a "sandwich" waffle! I made a few pizza waffles last night -- works great for this too.Slim profile / design is what first caught my eye -- it's nice to look at and cleans up easily. Very adjustable in terms of temperature / browning --- I just make sure to pay attention to the indicator lights to tell me when it's done.

Great purchase!
I purchased this "renewed" waffle iron that Amazon offered and I'm glad I took a chance with it. Other than some box damage I could not tell that this waffle iron had previously been sold. Works great! Other than the usual issue with stainless steel being difficult to keep clean or fingerprint free I am very happy. Makes waffles fast and you are able to make them for a crowd very quickly. No problem with sticking and you are able to adjust the temperature control so the waffles cook perfectly! Very happy!

I couldn't wait to buy one of there great stand mixers and was so happy with it
Cuisinart has always been known for its quality. I couldn't wait to buy one of there great stand mixers and was so happy with it, still am. I just bought a $72 coffee maker and the buzzer that tells yoy that its done does not work. Well no big thing to me so I let it slide. Now I bought the refurbished WMR-ca waffle maker thinking I would pay a little more knowing it was refurbished and anything that was wrong with it would have been fixed. WRONG! the flimsy lid or top is ready to fall off and barley lines up with the bottom. I guess the old saying you get what you pay for does not apply any more. Sorry to see this happen to Cuisinart as I know they are one of cooking's high grade products.

Fast and good
This is a simple, small and and easy to use waffle e. It makes a standard waffle and does a great job. I put mine on level 4 (of 5) and it produces a good product every time.
