Waring Pro WPF100BPC Professional Cool Touch Deep Fryer

I had a fryer that looked just like this for several years and loved it. It wore out so I ordered what I thought was the same model. It looks the same but now there is no off and on switch, you must unplug it from the wall. After burning myself twice reaching over the hot fryer to unplug it I threw it in the trash.

I bought this as I was looking for a fryer for fish and chips. Needed a fryer to be able to fry consistently at 375. You set the temperature on this fryer and then the light turns on when it's ready. Well, when I set the temperature to 375 and the light came on, the temp was 330 as I checked it with oil thermometer. The key to preventing greasy fried food is to have the temperature at 375 so the oil fries food quickly rather than slowly and soaks the food with oil. I bought cod and tried two different batters. I thought possibly this fryer just needed to better "warm up" as I continued to check the temp but the light continued to come on as ready at 375 with a lower temp than 375. The result? The fish was oily and the coating was only semi-crunchy. Possibly it was only my model or maybe not. We won't use this fryer again. Looks like I'm going back to the cast iron pan and thermometer.

I purchased two of these little guys. One I use myself and one I gave to a friend. Mine still works fine with no quirks. His stopped heating for some reason and I am going to return it. I do agree with others who have said that it is a small cooking capacity but requires a lot of oil. It is simply the shape of it that makes it this way being tall but not wide.With that said though, I seldom actually run out of room in it while cooking for my small family (myself, wife and daughter) or for our friends when we need to make chips or deep fry some tortillas for tacos (which is only one at a time no matter what capacity you have). So if you find this for a good price and don't need a lot of room and have a good return policy like Amazons then pick this guy up. SImple design but when it works, it works.ID: 854643

Works great! We used it first day it arrived. I like compact size for counter. Only downside is the heat of outside of cooker when on; have to be careful where it's placed.

I received the fryer but gave it away since I could not return it. It was purchased thru Amazon but from an Amazon dealer. The basket was tiny for the size of the fryer. Although the specs stated the capacity was "large" at 3+ liter, that was the capacity of the fryer but not using the basket.Misleading at the least.

works well, but requires too much oil to cook too little food (small basket capacity) at a time.

This model did not have an on/off switch which my last one did. I do t like the fact that as soon as you plug it in it’s on.
