Perfect. 100% better than the light-colored version.
When we got our "fancy" ceramic-top induction stove in our kitchen remodel a few years back, we were worried about the durability of the surface, which came with all kinds of warnings about using cast iron (our favorite kind of cookware) lest the surface be damaged. So I grabbed a previous version of this product, which was kind of a khaki color. I liked it because in addition to protecting from scratches, it also kept the area around the big burner mostly spatter-free. But it always looked dirty, and no amount of scrubbing or dishwashwering would get it clean. This one is the answer.LIKESThis is a durable, Kevlar-(like?) mat to put on over the burner on your flat-top induction stove. It appears to be impervious to any level of heat, and it does not interfere with the induction process. As noted, it protects from scratches, although our experience has been the ceramic material does not in fact scratch easily. More importantly for us, it also prevents a lot of cooked-on spatter, which makes cleaning the stove much easier. Best of all, this one shows no stains. I can't even tell if they're not there or the dark color is covering them, but it looks like the day we bought it.DISLIKESNone, really. The only way we've managed to damage one of these (besides the stains on the light-colored ones) was when someone accidently used it as a mat to cut something with scissors and slid the scissor underneath, snipping a little cut into it. So uh ... don't do that? It does fine in the dishwasher, and looks fine sitting on the stove.Five stars for the this BLACK COLORED ONE ONLY. There really is no reason to get the light color that will immediately absorb permanent stains.

Works very well most of the time
Using this on my induction cooktop. Overall this does a very good job. I do not use it at the highest setting for just boiling for fear of something going wrong. The cooktop sometimes loses connection with the stainless steel cooking vessel but only with a 3 ply All Clad once in a while. Used it for my CS wok and it did a great job! Protects the glass cooktop in situations where you’re likely to move your pan etc. I have the medium and large round and the large square. Great to move the pan to the side with one of these underneath

Used to Protect Glass on Induction Burner - Works Well
I bought the 9.4 inch version (round) for use with the Duxtop Pro Burner P961LS/BT-C35-D. I have used it with induction compatible pans to include cast iron but I haven't gone beyond the '7' heat setting and probably lower with the cast iron. I have had no issues with the mat smoking or melting.

Works great, but just very slippery
Very nice Matt. Works great on my induction oven. My only issue is that it slides around like it's on ice lol. It doesn't stay put very well at all. I mean at all.

Smell is too much, and burn
First and foremost. These are designed for "INDUCTION" stove. Not glass top radiant. Please be mindful. I didn't take a photo because I thought I had reviewed it already. Not needed if you read all the reviews. This pad is very dangerous. The toxic smell, and catches fires. Not to mention the damage it can do to your stove. I liked the texture and thickness of it but found out, looks are deceiving. And they can't be used for long periods and high heat. i.e. "canning". Best to save your money and buy a cooksaid. They are thin, don't smell, or burn up. Very safe in my opinion. They are well worth it. I just wouldn't chance this one. (lazy k) They need a redesign.

Excellent product for use with induction ovens
Excellent product. We use these pads on our induction oven. We cook with titanium pans and have the heat setting mid-way. The efficiency of heating does not appear to be affected. These pads also help prevent the pans from sliding.

Great for induction oves
Very pleased with these induction burner covers. They are made from a high quality material and keep the induction surface scratch free. They stay in place, and are easy to clean. Highly recommended if you own a induction oven.

No more scratches!
Circle K Induction Cooking Mat (made of highly heat resistant Silicon Fiberglass). I bought several sizes to best match my induction glass top stove burners. I’ve owned two other glass top stoves that were the regular electric coils (under glass). No matter how careful we were both stoves ended up with scratches or burn marks that couldn’t be removed. I selected an induction stove for its responsiveness and for the way it heats pans directly using magnetic waves as opposed to electric coils. I tested the Circle K mats on various heat settings from low to highest and they worked great! No scratches and the mats never got hot enough to melt or even get sticky. I read a lot of reviews where some people used the mats on regular electric coils and of course they melted. Note: If you use a highly magnetic pan like a cast iron skillet you can’t use the highest heat settings as cast iron retains more heat than stainless steel and could melt the mats. Circle K tells you this right up front. You can safely use cast iron by keeping the heat just below the highest burner setting. The beauty of these mats is that your pans don’t slide on the glass top and they scratch as the mats are the buffer. Another plus is that the mats keep small spills and splashes from burning on the glass. The mats are easy to clean and store. I keep them in the drawer with our pot holders.
