Very hard to understand the booklet. It will be worse if I try it.
It was so hard to read the booklet an when reading the other reviews and not finding a good one. I feel like this is not for me. Sorry. I am returning it.

Works well, few quirks
UPDATE: The new App update requires an email address. Don't buy this cup!!!The cup needs the app; even though I rather without. For example, it's possible to adjust the temperature upwards without the app, but not downwards. The app rating of only 1.9 isn't fair, it works well. It doesn't require contact access as a review mentioned, but it does need location and Bluetooth connectivity. It may just require getting used to, but the buttons to start hearing (sans app) aren't straightforward. I like having warm coffee because I typically sip it slowly - Vsitoo perfomes this tack well.

It works okay
It works and the battery life is fine, but it won't ever just 'turn on', I always have to open the app and turn it on from there. The app is also annoying, because it always asks me to sign in (it's a mug, why do I need an account?!), AND it usually takes about 3 or 4 tries to connect via bluetooth.

Doesn't work
Not sure if my unit arrived damaged or if it is a product flaw but this smart mug doesn't work. It keeps saying that it is empty when it is not also it doesn't heat up or keep my coffee warm. I do have an Ember and this product is not even close. I am returning it.

Disappointed
Advertised as a 10 oz cup; however, 8 oz fills the mug to the brim. The edge along the brim is sharp all around where the stainless-steel liner meets the outside covering of the cup. For these reasons, I am returning the S3 smart mug.

Horrible customer service
Got it for Christmas and had trouble getting app to work with the mug. Then 2 weeks after having it the inner liner separated from outer liner. I called the company and they told me they were closed from Jan 18 thru feb 7 celebrating Chinese new year. And I would have to wait till after feb 7 , And when the finally got back to me they said the claim should have been closed. I finally called amazon and they refunded my money all but 12 dollars because they said it was broken.

Safety Features
The automatic shut - off when the cup is empty is an excellent safety feature. It gives me peace of mind, knowing that there's no risk of overheating.
