I have tried so many microplane gadgets but this is the only one to buy. The original Microplane!! We grate garlic, frozen ginger, citrus and hard cheeses all the time. I wore out my last one and tried other products. Nothing compares to this, the OG of zester-graters. I love how many colors they come in and bought two - the magenta and teal. We need two...well...maybe more because we are always reaching for this. You pay a little more but the quality is what you're looking for: sharp blades, sturdy handle, and consistent, even grating performance. The grip is ergonomic and beautiful. I love seeing these in my utensil holder. This is your best weapon for elevating all your cooking! Buy several because you're going to use them all the time. We love this zester!! It’s great to grate Parmesan cheese and zest a lemon!! The weight is light weight and easy to clean. Be careful of the blades because they are sharp.

This works very well. I use them several times a week for nutmeg, Parmesan, zesting and the last one worked for ten years.I 100% recommend Microplane graters and zesters. They work very, very well and are designed to be easily used. They fit nicely in your hand. They balance nicely on counters. Whatever you want to do with the thing, they designed them to do it well.Microplane is an excellent brand.

Love this. Cuts just the outer peel and then actually stops digging in. Can zest an entire orange and have it all stay in the zester, so don't need another dish to catch the zest. Cleans up easy. Definitely recommend.

It works pretty well. Better than my box grater. It's easier to get the zest out and easier to clean. I'm a little surprised that it isn't faster than it is.

I have a few of these because I use them so frequently. Great quality and size, and the rubber tips at the end keep it steady on my cutting board. This was a replacement for one I've had for several years because the rubber grip started tearing from wear. That would be expected because it gets used several times a week.
