Can you wash dinosaurs and paint them again ?

Will be giving this as a gift. Not sure if you can wash off what you have already painted, bit sure you could paint over it again.

What kind of paint is in this kit? Acrylic?

I believe it was acrylic. My grandkids are 4-10 and it easily washed off hands hands and table.
