I found a kitten in my car engine. I quickly realized after bringing him in the house that he needs toys to keep him entertained or he starts looking for trouble. So instead of phone chargers or window blinds, he plays with his toys. He loves this fish! He hugs it, kicks it furiously and does somersaults holding it. Comes with a cord to charge it before using. The only thing I don’t love is the zipper you have to open to charge it and also to turn it on and off. Doesn’t slide open easily so be careful not to break it. Once it’s charged, turn it on and zip it closed. It shuts off automatically when your cat is done playing so no need to manually turn it off. Stays charged for a long time. I haven’t had to charge it for a week, still going strong.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:I have been looking around for toys that will interest a cat without the necessity for me to be directly engaged. I work long hours and, while I'd love to always be able to play, I can't. This fish scares the baby of the bunch, but is VERY interesting to the other two cats!

My puppy and cats love this toy! I love that it will only move if you are interacting with it. It’s easy to charge and it’s stimulating for them. I also love that it’s not super loud so I can’t hear it if it goes off in the middle of the night.

I was looking for a long raking toy for my cat so he could bunny kick it to smithereens, and this toy is perfect. He's a larger cat (14-15 lb of muscle, tho not like a Maine coon or anything that large) but I feel like this toy is the perfect length for him to kick.When I opened the pouch to turn the motor on, I definitely smelled the catnip, so it's potent. The fabric of the fish itself seems well made too. The toy works well and the motor only activates when you touch it which is great. My cat loves to sit on it and then hug and kick it.It is a bit of noisy motor, so it can get a little annoying, but otherwise it was exactly what I was looking for.

First let e tell you my cats LOVE THESE FISH!!! I bought 2 and will need to buy more clearly. My cats took turns playing then laying on then hugging while they slept. This fish came with some charge so I turned it on and it was good to go for 24 hours. I went to charge it and the plug is pushed back so there’s no way to attach the usb c end. Very disappointed because I could have bought 2 plain old cats toys for the cost of this one. The other one charges fine.

I saw this flopping fish toy on an influencer’s page and decided to try the clownfish version — it felt perfect since my cats are total clowns themselves! They’ve been loving it ever since it arrived. It’s been a great way to keep them active and engaged instead of just napping all day and only getting up to eat. The movement and design really catch their attention, and it’s fun to watch them play with it. Definitely worth the investment, especially with the deal going on right now. If your cats need a little more excitement, this toy is a winner!

O my🤣 this is so sweet! A fish no less. The mouse wasn't broken I got! Its squeak was so small I couldn't hear it! But this flopping fish is great! The bird is adored by the kitty! She loves that! And is that funny! I wish I could show you that! Everything is of good quality, I was sent what was advertised, and they were working out of the package which was what a person would expect. A working product, if that is what it does.

This review is for the "realistic" version of Potaroma Cat Toys Flopping Fish. My cat got bored with it pretty quickly, but it was fun to watch the interaction while it lasted. I do believe that the included catnip was old as she didn't really seem to have much reaction to it. The catnip is included, but is contained in a cloth bag inside the fish so I would guess that it's potency had been drained before arriving to our house. I'm not a catnip expert, but maybe if it had been shipped in a plastic bag and transferred by the owner into the cloth bag, it would be more effective. I may pick up some fresh catnip at the pet store to see if it makes a difference.The action of the fish works well. It lays still until interacted with and it starts flopping it's tail for a few seconds and then stops unless the cat is batting or biting at it. Everything seems pretty durable and it's nice that it is rechargeable rather than having to buy batteries for it every time you turn around. Overall, it's a pretty cool and fun item. I'm just a little disappointed that the catnip had already lost it's charge.
