Red Kap Men's Plain Front Short

I purchased for my employees at my business. They work outdoors, all spring and summer, and these are durable, do not fade, and last through multiple seasons. I’ve been using this brand for years and have not found anything better.

Fast and good

True to fit. Completed my Halloween costume and I have an extra pair of shorts

I wouldn't mind having an 11" or 12" inseam on these shorts, to bring them down to my knees just a bit better. I prefer longer shorts, and have longer legs in general anyway, so while the length of these isn't terrible... my preference would be for just a bit more length.That said, these shorts seem to be a GREAT quality; I've worn them a few times already, and they feel just as comfortable as their shirts. Other than the preferred length previously mentioned, the fitment is otherwise perfect, the pockets are sufficiently deep, and the pocket fabric itself is also heavy-duty, meaning tears should be less likely. I tend to clip knives and other tools into my pockets or on my belt, and while it's not a common occurrence, I've had these tools wear out and start cutting into other pants and pocket liners.One other thing to note; I'm not sure if these are pre-washed or not, but the colors don't seem to run at all. I threw a color-catcher in two pairs of shorts and a couple new shirts the first time I washed them, and I'd argue that it was unnecessary. Still, cold/cold is the way with these types of clothing items.

Construction of pants is sturdy but they definitely run at least one size too small. My normal pant size fits a bit loose but with these they’re very tight. The fabric it self seems durable but it’s really stiff even after trying to break them in a little. I was unable to return them and swap because I did not wear them until a later date after I already had them.

Great for summer heat

My husband needed some brown shorts, and there are not many to choose from. I decided to take a chance on these. They fit slightly large, but not too big. There are two problems. He wore them before washing, and the fabric is very stiff and rough. We washed them which only improved them a bit. The main problem is that the construction is terrible. There is a full seam from the crotch to the waistline in the back. Usually the waistline facing is stitched over the back seam. This is something that I learned when I sewed my first pair of pants at age 10. I have posted a photo to show the shoddy workmanship. Compare this to the inside-waistline of any zippered pant you own, and it will look wrong. Too bad, the brown color is perfect for our needs.
