Catit Design Senses Speed Circuit

Catit makes several of these circuit toys; this version comes with elevated tracks and a flashing ball. I also purchased Catit’s Fireball, which is a RED motion-activated flashing ball, and I highly recommend it as an add-on purchase for $3.49. I consider it a bargain, since it’s so much brighter and adds to the experience (batteries are included). There was interest at initial set-up; however, when we added the Fireball, fur was flying as cats & kittens elbowed each other to get their paws on that red flashing ball! (Yes, I know cats aren’t supposed to see colors the way we do, so maybe it was the difference in flash intensity?)Since the competition level is high for this toy, we’ll be purchasing more Catit circuit toys to add to this one. All the circuit toys interconnect, so you don’t need to buy the priciest one. I also bought a slightly different Catit circuit as a holiday gift for my brother’s three kittens. He reports that they enjoy it, too.I also purchased an unrelated toy, a three-tiered “chase-the-ball” toy that was very simple. I honestly didn’t expect much. But the combination of the Speed Circuit and the simple toy has been a fantastic hit at our house.I’ve read the other reviews in which people said their cats didn’t care for the toy, and we all know that cats are different. If you purchase this, I suggest you get the Fireball as an add-on, because it has made a huge (and hugely funny) difference at our house.Again, I give this toy a solid 5 stars for entertaining our LARGE kitty cartel throughout the day. Plus, we can leave it out and our Rottweiler won’t carry off the little balls, because they are completely encased in the track. It’s a win-win for us. I hope you have as much success as we have.

I bought this speed circuit first. I have 4 cats and they vied for position to use it. The ball lights up and gets their attention. I really enjoyed watching them play with that! It was therapeutic to me. It is extremely durable.... you can add or remove pieces... or have them in a circle or one long piece with ends. I ended up finding the larger one when i went to buy another of this one. Now, I have a very long race track looking one.... I put an extra ball in it...... and I even get down on the floor and play with the cats!!! They are mesmerized by the light up ball, and they love to chase after it, stick their paws in the many openings to move the ball and keep it going. This will last for ever.... and I believe the cats will enjoy this for years..... kids outgrow the hotwheels tracks.... but I believe the cats will keep on playing for a very long time. Me, as well!!!! You can buy one piece as add ons, or different sized ones and click them together in many different configurations. I think I am going to get carried away building on mine. Buy the extra balls as well. Don't just use them as replacements.... the more the merrier!

I would defiently buy again... I DID...I have purchased 3 of these! The cats LOVE them... this item will keep them entertained while also teaching them different things! It’s in the top 5 of our favorite toys!!!If you have an older cat, he probably will have no use for it, UNLESS you have younger cats that play with it, he will sit an watch them play... later when no one is paying attention he will attempt it!This is wonderful to have and start it as young as possible!!Its sooooo much fun to watch them playing with it, especially 2 playing together !!The ONLY reason I didn’t give it 5 stars, and the reason I have 3, is due to the balls stop lighting! We got our first one (bigger one) December 2017, the ball worked fine for 6 months... I thought 6 months was acceptable, and at that point it would be a 5 star !!Then I ordered TWO packs of the set of balls to replace, giving me 4 new balls! They did not fit the track and so they became regular balls !! The lighting on those four lasted from 1 month to 6 weeksI like this thing so much it was worth it to me to just order a new one in hopes that ball would also last several months! It lasted 2 WEEKS!!I then ordered this one, smaller track about 3 months ago and that ball is still working! I transfer it between the 3 tracks !!THE BALLS ARE THE ONLY REASON THIS ISN'T A 5 STAR!!

This toy comes in several pieces that you have to snap together, but it's very easy to assemble (and comes with good instructions, though you can pretty much figure it out by looking at it). It seems pretty well made for a plastic toy. Very happy with the construction, assembly, and packaging.However, my cats just didn't care about this toy. One of them never showed any interest at all. The other showed initial interest when I pulled the protective plastic tab out of the little ball to activate the battery and make the lights blink, but after he came over and had a hard time fitting a paw in to swat at it, he gave up and walked away. Indeed, the openings in the blue plastic covers seem way too small for adult cats to successfully interact with the ball inside — even with my dexterous human fingers, I had a hard time pushing the ball hard enough to get it doing anything interesting. It might be a good toy for small kittens (as shown in the picture), but it didn't work out for my adult cats.

I had selected "Buy Again" to purchase an identical toy for our newest cat. Unfortunately, the item we received is not the same as we had previously purchased. It's just a small circular racetrack, not a slalom as purchased in the past. We are very disappointed.
