Fits 2014 Victory Cross Country Perfectly
Bought this with some apprehension but very happy with the purchase. The hardware included must be for more than one model. Used the long bolts to replace the factory ones that keep the strap plate in place. Used the spacers and installed with the strap plate back under the seat. It does have a VERY slight forward backward angle adjustment in the base but the backrest itself swivels. You can adjust the set screw that locks the rise of the backrest so that you can adjust that up or down. I imagine after a while that will come loose so may need to be reset or you will loose up/down adjustment and it would be down all the time. Back support in lowest position is very good on my lower back. I am 6'0" / 240lbs and feels sturdy. The instructions are basic but knowing which way to position the mount on the bike is there and the order of washers/spacers is there. Definitely worth the money so far. Will amend after some riding if any issues.

Not quick release/useless instructions/wrong hardware
Completely disappointed. Nothing about the unit is “quick release”. You have to take the bike seat off to adjust anything or remove the bracket. If you want to remove the back rest and leave the bar sticking up you still need an allen wrench and socket.Instructions are useless. 1 sheet of instructions, starts at Pic 2 and mentions step 12.. wtf.. no other steps mentioned. Bolts it came with are an inch too long even with the spacers. Luckily I had some spare bolts that fit.

get creative
I had to reassemble from the factory (it was assembled backwards)I ended up cutting off two inches of the upright to get it to rest against my lower back (I'm 6'2")there's nothing quick release about it.I'm glad i saved money and went the generic route, but it I knew I would spend time modifying it? I doubt I would purchase again.

Comfy, but had to use my OWN hardware!
Once installed, the backrest is VERY comfortable. The problem I had was that the 4 screws that attach the backrest were to short and could not be tightened. THANK GOD I had spare screws that fit laying around my garage. Without those, I would have been upset. Maybe mine was a dud, but once connected it worked GREAT!

Great back support
The backrest was easy to install and provides the back support and comfort I needed.

Too high
The back rest sits too high, but is well made. I'll eventually have the support bar cut down.

Looks nicer than it is
My backrest was packed well and looked good quality upon taking out of the box, however it was missing hardware. I was missing at least one set of washers that attaches the backrest to the post, see photo of some washers I had laying around that (luckily) worked. Install is straightforward but the instruction sheet is basically useless minus orientation of the bracket. As other reviews have said, there is nothing “quick release” about the unit. You either have to back off the set screw so much that the backrest is unstable (to be able to remove it once the seat is on) or you tighten up the set screw fully (as I did) and now have to remove the backrest pad itself if you want to remove the seat. It seems fairly comfortable but time will tell. Once I put on some more Kms, I will update the review. The rear pocket is all but useless and gets in the way when installing the backrest pad. I’ve had the seat on and off a few times to adjust the angle and distance the pad is from my back. I agree with other reviews that the post is about 2 inches too long. For what it’s worth, my backrest is in the lowest position in the photos
