I live in southern California (San Diego County), and we have biting red ants. They are not as bad as fire ants in TX and elsewhere in the southeast, but they will take over your yard and have a very painful bite and spread very quickly. I've tried a lot of different things to get rid of them, but short of hiring a professional exterminator, nothing was very effective. I wasn't sure if this would work, since these technically aren't fire ants, but figured I didn't have much to lose other than a few dollars. I'm happy to say that it exceeded my expectations. After springling just a little around the mound, literally within a few hours, the entire colony was completely wiped out. Not a single living ant anywhere within a five foot radius of the mound. I'm now moving around to other mounds and eradicating them one by one.

THIS PRODUCT WORKS, AS IT SAYS! When I bought this I was hoping that it would compliment the other fire ants killers I use. But this product dosent takes week to work, like it says 24 to 48 hours on normal nest and maybe a second treatment on larger nest. IM INPRESSED!

This product arrived by the due date. I use this product on fire ant beds that usually appear after a heavy rain, and it works! The fire ant bed (and ants) disappear within 24-48 hours after use. I highly recommend this product.

I have only had this a week and could barely use it due to rain. BUT, I truly hope it works as awful as it smells! I cannot stress this enough! I had used it and put the lid (securely) on it quickly because it immediately made me gag-badly. I stored the container in the basement waiting for dry weather and the next day I spent half a day trying to find a dead critter and checking sewer pipes because my entire basement smelled like death! Lol. Nope, just the innocent container sitting right where I left it. So just a warning to have an airtight container of some sort to place it in or you will have a nasty smell going on. I will update my review if it takes care of the ants I have been trying to kill. Good luck

En mi opinión personal… una amiga me lo recomendó ya que vivo en un departamento y suele haber una que otra cucaracha, y a pesar de que huele un poco fuerte, es sumamente bueno, lo que hago es echarlo en algunas partes bajas (ya sea en la cocina o cualquier otro lugar), como es debajo del refrigerador o debajo de estufa y se los juro que con eso se desaparecen, no sé quién está pasando por el mismo problema que yo pero inténtelo y verán los resultados.

In middle Tennessee we have fire ants, which can be a real problem due to very painful bites. They usually produce a characteristic large mounded nest. On the occasions that I have found a nest in my yard I have used this ant killer, following package directions. About half the time, one application kills all the ants. I have had to repeat the treatment a second time on occasion, but never more than one repeat application before the ants were gone. I try not to tolerate the nests once I discover them. I keep a supply of this fire ant killer on hand at all times so I can promptly treat any nest that I discover.

This is a very effective fire ant killer. It's a constant problem here in Florida. This is my favorite treatment. It kills the mound overnight. The little critters really go for this stuff. And then they die, which is great because I hate them.
