It's a gender changer - period. They don't make VGA 'Extension' cables so this is it. Solid manufacturing and allows VGA cable to secure to the coupling. Keep extra of these for your legacy systems. I use it for a KVM setups.

Works great, the size is very nice. You can go and buy one of those thick long gender changers but this is a pretty small adapter that works great. No problems so far and I've been using one for over a year now. Just ordered a second. No complaints great product.

Not much to say, it did what I needed it to do. Note this is not a null modem adapter, just a simple straight through gender changer.Screws can be removed from the sides if they get in your way, or just the nuts from one side if you need male threads on one side like I did...

Decent little adapter - worked great for my wife @ her work - she needed to be able to program Wireless access points - but - she only has a laptop which has USB ports - thus - the adapter I purchased came with a male ended cable - the Wireless access port is male ... uhm ... plug this adapter into either the cable - or - Wireless access port & booom access ... "I love it when a plan comes together" ...

Not much to say, needed a straight through gender-changer for a ham radio that has a male port on it so I could use a cable with a male connector. I did have to unscrew one side of the screw s so that I could connect it to the radio, but they unscrewed easily using pliers.

Five stars means "I love it". Well, I don't think anyone can love a DB9 gender changer. So I'll use 5 stars to mean, this product was perfect for my needs. I didn't have any issues with it.

This product did not work for me. I should have done more research before buying it. I had a serial cable with a male end and a connector with a male end - so naturally I assumed a gender changer would work. However, what I actually needed was a NULL modem cable. Just do your research on what kind of device you are connecting to and whether you need a NULL modem or just a gender changer ....
