Even better the second time through
I love the characters in this book. The wit and humor as well as the heart rendering ancient curse that enslaved the heroin made it difficult to it down. The plot and character development help keep the pace and intrigue moving along nicely. I also recommend the Audible if this book... most delightful!

Plot Review
I loved the story! I thought the author's writing was very good. I loved how clean the story was too. I will definitely read more from Sarah M. Eden.Spoiler Alert: the rest of this is a book review. Don't read it if you don't want to know what happens. In the end I wanted to hear about how Gwen felt about the whole transformation a little more. She was a ghost for 400 years and now she was alive! All her dreams about Nickolas came true! I liked that the author had Gwen not recognize Nickolas at first and then had her memory slowly come back. When it did come back we heard about Nickolas' joy upon obtaining his desire. I would have liked to hear more about the amazing joy Gwen was experiencing too! Here's my personal thoughts about Nickolas asking Miss Castleton to marry him. I appreciate the author writing it the way she did because I felt myself diverging from the character at this point (which helped me understand myself better). I wished Nickolas would not have asked Miss Castleton to marry him or that he would have at least first talked it over with Gwen. If I were in the same situation, I would would have held steadfast in my hope that somehow, someway God would provide a way. If nothing else, I would have have stayed with my "ghost" (Have you heard that song "Ghost" by Parachute? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DJ_zyeBuunQ). But I guess it's hard to have hope if there is no Higher Power over life and death to go for consultation in such matters. Sometimes we need to give up our "ghost dreams" because they will rob us of the real thing. But at other times, even though they seem beyond our reach according to our limited sight, they really are not and if we trust in powers greater than our own, holding steadfast in them and doing all we can to obtain them, they do come to pass. If we give up too soon on these real desires, we will sacrifice our ultimate joy.

Different, but good!
I have read many of Sarah Eden's books and this one was different from the rest. It was a great book to read, just not what I expected. This book is set during the Regency Period in Wales. Nickolas Pritchard has just received and unexpected inheritance. Orphaned as a young boy, he has been passed from one family to another and doesn't have money to call his own. With his change of fortune, he invites the object of his affection, Miss Castleton. and her family to join him as guests in his new home. He also invites the Davis family who had been generous in opening their home to him during his time of need. The guest he didn't plan on was the resident ghost, Gwen. This is a sweet romance story with surprising turns. I wondered how she would pull it all together and she did a great job. Of course, it is exactly what I would expect of Sarah Eden. She has never disappointed me in my expectations of her books.

Love isn't a strong enough word. :)
I will admit that I check pretty regularly to see if Sarah Eden has a new book out. When I saw that she had released a new book only days before, I was ecstatic. I got my hands on it as soon as possible and put off my homework to read it. Sarah Eden's books are definitely worth it.This book was wonderful. When I first read the summary of this book I felt a bit worried and intrigued; I couldn't see how a happy ending could happen, but I knew that since Sarah Eden was the author everything would work out.The characters were an absolute delight. I often found myself laughing, smiling, giggling, and so on. I enjoyed every second of this book.Without giving away the end, all I can say is I cried with joy. No exagerations- I actually cried. I typically avoid crying at all costs, but I was so happy that I couldn't stop myself. This book was an absolute delight from beginning to end, except for a few occasions where I called Nickolas an idiot (though I do have to admit, I was even enjoying myself then).I absolutely loved this book; it is probably one of my favorite books of all time (and I have read a lot of books). This book is not worth just one, but many readings, so stop reading my review and read the book. :)

A great book
Sarah Eden knows how to write a good clean romance! I love this book! I had the great fortune of reading it in October, which I think added to the whole experience. I mean what other time of year do you believe more in a romance between a ghost and a human. The characters are well developed, and there are no "plot holes". You root for both the main characters. You find that you understand what is driving their decisions and experience the heartache that the character is feeling when faced with the decision.Sarah Eden is my favorite author. I am a romance fan but I don't want to be in anyone's bedroom. Sarah writes a believable, real love story based on real love not just physical infactuation.

My favorite
A story of impossible love; far more impossible than one is accustomed to. A sweet, completely adorable heroine and a hero who isn't too terribly thick headed. I have read so many inspirational historicals, and this book rates at the very top, if not the top. Sarah Eden is a fantastic author, and I have enjoyed every one of her novels. Give this book a read, and enjoy its complete originality and almost daring story line. I won't give away the delicious secret of this book - don't read the back cover before you start, either. You'll be well rewarded. The cover is the best I've seen; I haven't read another in which I believe that the lady on the front quite so well matches the spirit of the lady within the pages. No pun intended ;)

Haunting, sweet and magical
Sarah Eden is a marvellous writer. This mystical Welsh story brings the mythical White Lady to life, figuratively and literally. She is able to create a caste of characters that all ring true to life, no matter how minor. Her dialogue is both of the time and lively. She builds a world that evokes the the mystery of ancient Wales and its ethos. A delightful sense of humour leavens and not one but two romances mitigate the horror of the history propagated so many centuries beforehand.
