Belmama and Cherub The Shower Hug, Slate Blue Trim, Goddess

I had gotten one of these on a deal site and I was amazed at how SOFT it was. When I came home from the hospital my baby had latch issues and my nipples were literally shredded. I started using this in the shower and it was amazing - it kept the soap from getting on my raw nipples and was so soft I didn't want to take it off. I quickly decided I wanted two as when it was in the wash (just after a few days of use) I was soooo sad. Around 2 weeks pp I was engorged. Being a first time mom it took me some time to realize how to help this - but daily in the shower with my hug I was in heaven. I even wore one of them dry at bed time for a while because it was so soft. The only thing that was rough was the velcro - I have sensitive skin and it would itch badly if it wasn't lined up right. That just meant I had to be careful! :)

I'm in much needed relief for my sore nursing nipples, so I ordered this to use as a bra during the day at home and overnight. Please beware of the sizing. I'm wearing a 34D these days, so I ordered the M/L size. The description says S/M is for 32-34 A/B and the M/L is for 36-38 C/D. I got the M/L because I thought the smaller size would be too tight for my cup size. Plus I'm wearing M or L shirts these days.When you order, make sure you order on your numerical bra size (32, 34, etc.) and NOT your cup size. The fabric is really soft and stretchy, so it can accommodate a larger cup size. The M/L was SO large on me, it was almost 2 sizes too big. The velcro would not close because it nearly wrapped an extra time around my body, and it felt like it might fall down.Had to go through the hassle of returning and ordering the smaller size. If anything, order it a bit smaller than you think you will need and it will be perfect.

When I was pregnant with my second child, I told my husband that someone needs to create something to help pregnant/nursing moms shower without feeling like our nipples are being ripped right out of the sockets. If you've ever nursed, you know how painful the shower water can be during those early newborn days when your nipples are at their most tender. This really has made all the difference for me. I am small chested at about 34A, so naturally I got the x-small. When I first received the product, it was super tight on me. I mean I could barely fasten the two velcro straps together. However, after one or two uses, the fabric totally stretches out on its own. Now I'm having the opposite issue of it being too big. It still stays on, but it's definitely bigger than when I first used it. So don't fear if you get yours and it doesn't fit. Trust me, it will!!! I think everyone should probably order a size down then it recommends. I really love this product and have come back twice now to buy them for other pregnant friends.

I contacted customer care at Belmama and Cherub regarding the sizing and material of their Shower Hugs, and they responded to me in less than 24 hours with an incredibly thorough - and very helpful - response. When I responded the next day with even more questions, they - once again - responded quickly and enthusiastically and provided me with all the details I'd asked for (and also reminded me that they would be pleased to answer any questions, comments, or concerns I had in the future). As I am an American currently living in Australia (and seeking out certain American products that I've heard were fantastic for moms and newborns), I've been emailing back and forth for several months with many American companies to determine the exact sizing, style, and material of products I'm researching for my soon-to-arrive baby. BY FAR, Belmama and Cherub has provided the best customer service of any of the companies I've dealt with over the past few months. They made the ordering process a lot easier for me - much less to stress about when I'm due in only 2.5 weeks! Very nice people!

As a DD bra size after 2 kids, I thought this would be perfect. It is a practical and necessary item for any breastfeeding mom. I was disappointed about the sizing. The goddess size should have been perfect for me but I found it to be quite small. It mashes me in a way that is not very comfortable. I think it is important to order the correct size if not bigger. It did not stretch as much as I thought and I found it difficult to secure the velcro. This product would be awesome if it actually fit and didnt roll over or up on my body.

Just gave birth to my little girl, and Just used my shower hug for the first time and before it got wet it fit perfect, i ordered a medium and i am a 32b normally. Taking a shower was great because it didn't hurt as the water hit my chest, but then I noticed that the shower hug was falling off of me then it didn't work so great. I should have ordered the small. For that reason I couldn't give it 5 stars because I wish I would have disclosed that upon it getting really wet it stretches out a lot. Product works awesome just make sure you get the right size.

I have had very sensitive nipples since I started breast feeding and pumping so I started placing a hand towel over my chest to deflect the shower spray. Obviously those don't stay put so I ordered this. It is exactly what I need, but I agree with other reviews to size down. I ordered the M/L (typically wear L tops and 36D) but it is loose even when I wrap it so tight that the Velcro barely overlaps. I have to hike it up multiple times during a shower, but it's still worth it! If you size down it should not be a problem.

I ordered a size M/L in this and it's quite big. I am a pre-pregnancy size 8-10 and am currently pregnant with twins so I've expanding significantly and this is still a big large. There are velcro strips that allow you to adjust the size but they are not wide enough to make this smaller if you do get one that's too large. I would advise you measure your chest and compare to the overall length prior to purchasing. It is a nice material, very soft.
