H6 All Black Handheld Recorder

This is the most amazing recorder I've ever used. It picks up everything and records it with perfect clarity. I turned off all the fans and the water heater and the refrigerator and muffled my computer the best I could, while I put pillows on the window glass to muffle the sound it's still picked up the sound of cars driving by almost a mile away.If that doesn't tell you something about the quality of this product I don't know what can.It's multitrack and it functions just exactly the way the instructions say it does.Then you have to take the SD card out and plug it into your computer, just save all the takes on a separate folder. Load that into your audio / video editor and don't be surprised how amazingly well the recordings turn out.Originally I thought it would handle A 64GB or 128GB SD card, only to find out that it only accepts 32 tops.But that's okay because you can get more than 8 hours of recording on that one little bitty 32GB chip.

This is necessary for musicians!

I feel like I made a good purchase. The product is refurbished and it works great. The box it came in came with multiple instruction pamphlets, which was very helpful.I have not exported any recordings yet from my SD card, but so far the device on its own works like a charm. My intended use for this product is for streaming, asmr, and foley sound effects, all things it can handle very well.

So far, this recorder is great! I taped one live performance with it using two of the inputs and the room mics and it's great - even when I set the levels too high for the first half, it simply acted as a limiter instead of clipping, I lost some dynamics but there was none of that ugly digital clipping that I got with previous generations of Zoom recorders. And setting the levels is much easier, just turn a dial for each input and watch the clip lights and easy-to-read meters rather than scrolling through menus like in my previous Zoom recorders.One gripe though - why on earth did they use the larger and mostly obsolete USB Mini instead of the extremely common USB Micro? Now I have to be super careful not to lose this cable, when they could just as easily designed it to take a cable that we all have piles of spares sitting around in our gloveboxes and junk drawers. Even USB C would have been better, at least then we could run to the store and buy one if needed.

Incredible deal for a piece of gear I needed on a job. I had a table read I was supposed to record that required 5 people with their own microphones. So I fed one mic into my camera, and the other 4 went into separate inputs on this device, all recorded into their own tracks simultaneously. It's basically all the things people love about the H4N but with 4 tracks (plus the stereo mics, so technically 6 tracks) instead of just the 2 on the H4n. What's even MORE amazing, is that this "renewed" product seemed brank spankin' new! It looks like the box was opened and then put back together carefully, all the original equipment and paperwork was in the packaging it ships with if new, the included batteries were even still sealed in plastic! Ours came from Alto Music, which I happen to know is a local music store that moved farther away from me (I have fond memories of them when they were closer), so not only was this a great deal on a practically new product, the name of the seller gave me nostalgia.I guess this would count as Open Box more than "renewed", so color me impressed! Thank you for making this product available at such an excellent price!

I use this utility to record rehearsal sessions of my band. I previously used the two channel zoom recorder that was using to stereo mics to record the band, and it sounded OK, but not amazing by any means. The biggest issue was the voice, vocals were not properly sitting in the mix, because of all the reverberation from the roomOnce I got this item, in addition to the stair, a recording of the room, I grab the third channel straight off the mixer. Why the vocals are all summed up. Then I am Portadown to logic adjusted. The levels mastered the waves and oh my God the difference is on believable , if you find yourself in a situation where to channel recording is not enough, you cannot go wrong with this item .

I bought this because it was $100 less than new as it was refurbished. It was perfect. I've owned the Zoom R16, and the original H2. I needed something that had inputs and could be portable with a tripod mounting option. I was hesitant to use batteries, but after 6 hours of recording live shows with the AA batteries that were shipped with the H6 AND were opened/used already, the meter is at 2/3 power. That alone is worth so much as having to use a power supply can be a hassle at times in crowded or small venues where placement can be limited. Also, I drum in the bands I'm recording, so simple and practical is important.
