Workhorse!
Love this blade! I’ve had the BK9 for many years and wanted something a little smaller for hiking and camping. Quality is phenomenal! Definitely buy the Micarta handles to reduce hand fatigue.

7 inch blade, solid full tang
Where do I start, This is a very large 7" blade, 1095 steel. As others have mentioned the sheath is a bit cheap (rattle noise), it's like buying a fine sports car and getting no name tires, hope you get my point. The knife itself is awesome, as is all of Becker knives. The mods to this knife are numerous. It comes extremely sharp out of the box, be careful. The weight is nice, I'm trilled to own it, It is my number one bushcraft knife. It can stab, chop, cut so well you almost don't need an axe.

The scales any Becker should come with
The scales are better quality and better fit than the original scales on a Becker and they do far more than just improve the looks. They are actually a gray color and I had plans myself to either oil them or rit dye them, but they are so beautiful as is that I just didn’t, they are jet black when they’re wet and dry to being gray and black

Quality made. Definitely cool item. Much better than the original handles.
Very solid, easy to install, and definitely worth it for these BK knives. They are honkin great knives, but the grips could use work. These panels help a ton. Should be the OEM included, but what can you do.

Micarta Grips are Okay…
The craftsmanship is really good, however, you’ll be slightly disappointed at first due to the prominent light grey color out of the package. If you dampen the grips, they’ll turn black. It appears they darken over time due to the natural oil in your hands. I didn’t take a photo of the grips fresh out of the package as I thought about returning them. However, you can observe the light grey color through the plastic packaging. Photo with tape measurer is after a week of fondling the knife (natural hand oil). The photo without the tape measurer represents color after slight dampening with water. Ergonomics and texture is very good. Paid approximately $52.00 for these grips after State Tax is applied. Other Micarta grips can be found for $38.00 but they’re desert tan. These grips are a substantial improvement over the smooth plastic factory grips. I think the grips compliment the knife, however, you can judge for yourself via the attached photos. The grips also have been machined to hold the nuts in place. Some other grips (micarta or exotic wood) require metal spacers to stabilize the grip to prevent movement.Edit: removed numerical reference for photos as they appear to align out of order after upload.

An Excellent Upgrade!
Like the BK2 was always meant to have this grip. The original is fine, but sweaty hands want a bit more confidence while handling a knife of this caliber. As some have mentioned, the grips come out of the package looking a bit ashy. But just a little of your own natural oils darken it up nicely. A handsome, effective addition to an already excellent knife!

Grey, not black.
*edit* I coated the handles in bees wax after putting in stainless fasteners. The handles now look beautifully black. Maybe the good products require a little customization and break-in.These were not quite black. More like a light shade of gray. But I kind of knew that. They're still so much better than the stock scales/grips.
