Nice festive colors but made for lefties, durability might be an issue (the plastic end cracked)
Why purchased: I had previously bought a packet of black safety pins identical to the structure and size of these. I liked the festive colors of these (see pic).Use: My primary use is to tie the back of my chemo cap ties for the right size. But also keeps pairs of socks and pillowcases or towels together or sheets to the mattress. No babies so not tested on diapers. They are pretty stiff and sharp and can do the towels, haven’t found (tested) a firmness and thickness that failed, not that they are awesome, just limited testing.Structure and function: See pic, verified that they are 2” (~50 mm) in length. Stainless steel, limited exposure to water (laundry) thus far but no rust to date. See pics but oddly, these are made to use by left-handed users. If held in the right hand, the opening for inserting the pin is out of site on the bottom. I find in my uses thus far the metal part of the pin is sturdy enough and sharp enough for what I have used (as described above). I like the festive colors. I have about 20 of the pins and (see pic) I have one of the plastic ends crack. The plastic cap does have a seam around the end crack so maybe not a surprise that the pin could break through as the pressure from the pin is firm enough to keep closed.Overall: One-star deduction due to breakage, but maybe a “one off” will continue to monitor. Lots of potential uses and nice colors. If you liked the added details from a typical review, please hit the helpful button, it’s motivational to due measurements and take pics to contribute to this great community, and make your purchase decisions more informed.

Going back in time
I use pins to secure small items going into the washer/dryer and for preparing things for sewing. The ones I bought from the store would bend, come lose, tear my clothes, etc.THEN I remembered the times before DISPOSABLE DIAPERS; when the pins were called SAFETY PINS and they were safe. The kids never got stuck if you locked the pin, the pin was made of steel, so it didn't bend easily. Now I am in heaven. I can pin my small items for the washer and dryer without being concerned the pin will come apart on me or my clothes. Definitely worth a 5 star rating.

The pins were not sharp
I ordered these pins to use for making quilt but they were so dull I could not pin light cotton fabric together. Very disappointed.

Not good quality
Its not what I expected. It doesn't lock properly up and down. It mimiks some some type of "lock" with a small plastic dot/pin on the plastic head However its far from working good. Also the steal quality is not good. It bends very easy.Disappointed.

Cheap, get what you pay for
We have always used the Osocozy pins that look like these for our cloth diapering across four children. They are good pins but eventually break after enough repeated use. Wanting to save some money, I ordered these as they looked the same and I thought they'd be a little worse but still acceptable. They're totally not! Our 1-year-old constantly tugs them out just by pulling on them. These aren't safe at all, and it gets old having to put his diaper back on several times a day and searching for the open pins that he dropped who-knows-where. Better replacements can't arrive soon enough! These could be decent for other "light duty" purposes and they don't cost too much, but better quality pins will do those jobs even better as well and won't let you down like these might.

Imperfect and dull
Some pins were impossible to open. All pins were VERY dull. All pins are too thick. Product is cheaply made.

Not sharp enough
Ok , what did I expect ? The pins are not needle sharp and they might need a little filings to get the burs off the tip. the plastic is nothing like the plastic ones from the 70’s but they work just fine with a little touch up.They are plenty strong too , very typical IMO .

Could Injure Babies
These pins are rather flimsy. They pop open very easily. I do not recommend them as diaper pins. I use them for craft making, and even for this purpose I would not purchase them again.

Useful
I am using these to pair socks before washing them - saves hours of trying to pair up socks when they are dried.
