Should be suitable for transporting rubble and bricks but would recommend you only half fill, at the most, each bag, otherwise they would be extremely heavy and the bags would break.

You would have to ask the council My feeling is no because the bins fit on the recycling lorry and tip up automatically People don’t physically empty them We take all our green bags to local recycling centre!!!

Will the bags leak if I put rotting grass in them

Bags are reusable and are for dry materials. If you want to transport rotten grass that is very wet, then I would say line them with polythene or insert a large plastic bag, the bags are very strong. Alternatively use a large solid plastic container which would be more suitable.
