Chakra Meditation with Hemi-Sync Audio CD – October 1, 2009

So, I struggle with meditation. I'm rather new at it and have a very difficult time quieting my mind and body. I'm one of those "oh, look a chicken" kind of people. Hence, I'm learning to meditate so I can relax, de-stress and learn to slow down and smell the flowers. When I try to be still and "in the moment" it lasts for about 2 minutes before my mind is drawn to the sounds of life inside and outside my house, e.g., dogs barking, cars driving up and down the street, the cat playing with some tiny piece of paper, you name it.I bought this CD after reviewing a large number of them on Amazon.com. I also did a little research on Hemi-Sync because I had never heard of it before, it's quite intriguing. I LOVE THIS CD! I loaded it in on my phone and use my headphones to plug in to the sounds and drown out the world. The incredibly lulling voice of the British woman who guides you through the meditation works beautifully for me. Because it occupies my mind through sounds, visualization of the chakra colors and even through the senses of touch, smell and feel I am completely focused and able to achieve at least some form of meditation, which I feel is better than none at all. I know I should eventually be able to meditate without any aides, but for now this CD is an incredible tool that I will continue to use daily until I reach the next level of my journey. Another huge plus is that the CD offers a "full" version and a "short" version so if I'm pressed for time I can always opt for the shorter version, but I do prefer the long version.If you're having a bad day at work, you can always go sit outside or get in your car and listen to the short version during lunch or a break and come back to work refreshed, revitalized, calm and focused.

No guided meditation works for everyone, but this really works for me. I listen to it primarily when I go to acupuncture each week. Unlike a lot of guided meditations, this one doesn't start with relaxing your body, paying attention to each part, etc. Instead, it uses guided imagery and scents. You see the colors and smell the scents!I don't know about dolphin noises - that statement alone almost put me off this CD. I don't hear any dolphin noises. I hear the usual hemi-sync "wave" sounds, what sounds like some singing, some flute. The narrator is a British woman with a soothing voice. One of my big gripes about most guided meditations is that the people who narrate them have irritating nasal voices. Not in this case!If you have problems with outside thoughts interfering in your meditation, the combination of the hemi-sync sounds, musical sounds and the woman's voice really help keep you focused.I also use this if I wake up at night and can't go back to sleep. My boyfriend uses it to relax him for sleep as well.

This presentation from Monroe Institute generates, as all their CDs do, that essential synchronization of both hemispheres of the mind.On top of that by visualizing the seven chakras with their respective colors, plus pink at the end, and simultaneous breathing exercises this CD is undoubtedly exceedingly effective. The exhilarating feeling, with the combination of colors, breathing deeply and positive suggestions from the hostess is a combination that proves to be exceptionally uplifting.One strange thing: last night is the first time I have used this CD yet I had the strong feeling I had listened and experienced this very meditation application somewhere before, most probably in the astral plane while sleeping.RecommendedThis CD refers once to a supposed Earth core yet our planet and all celestial objects are perfectly hollow.
