Versatile, Great Quality, and Roomy
I bought this for my 15yo son's Halloween costume, but also for the Sarasota Ren. Faire (if we get to go this year). He is 5'11", about 130lbs, and the Large was the perfect length for him, to his shoes. I imagine a larger/heavier adult would also have room in there, as it fit me at 160lbs, but a little long on my 5'7" self. The material is thick, like a curtain, so won't rip or pique like the thinner cloaks. The tie at the top is also sewn on pretty well, so will hold together better than others, too. He will be using a belt around the middle to keep it from flowing, but not necessary if your costume choice needs a flowing cloak... For the Ren Faire he wants it open. The one thing we didn't like was the over-sized hood, but I did see the pics and all, so not a surprise, but small price to pay for a the good material. I plan on folding it a bit and pinning, but again, maybe you want the big hood or want it down anyway.Overall, my son loves it, and that's what matters. Hope he gets use out of it a few times, and I know it will last a while.

Nice Inexpensive Robe
I like to dress up in Harry Potter drag and hang out in Diagon Alley at Orlando Universal Studios, and I'm entertaining a huge family reunion in Florida next June. I want to take the kids into Harry Potter land and do the costuming thing with them, but I will melt in an official HP robe, so I thought "why not make a new robe from lightweight material, and decorate it for an alumnus of Slytherin House". A black robe. Then some UV dye for decoration (so it all happens when I walk into Nocturne Alley) and I'm done.Long story short, I saw this and realized I can't make one cheaper, so decided to see if this would be a good starting point.Yes it will. The material is nice and light, almost translucent in bright light. The fit is good on my weeble-shaped body, but I shall have to take it up a couple of inches. The robe is unlined, so you are going to see some seams. With the robe tied closed and the hood carefully folded back they shouldn't show. For this price you really can't beat it.[UPDATE 10/15/18]I bought a red one too, and will certainly be buying more in different colors. I cannot make cloaks this good for the price being charged and having one from the get-go cuts hours off costume projects.Fitting: I am 5'8", 250 lbs with a 44" waist. A 2x cloak fits me nicely as far as girth and sleeves (which I want a little longer than my arms to add to the mystery and menace) but runs long, being cut for a person over 6' tall. I shall be taking up the cloaks by about 4 inches and adding additional hidden fastenings. I shall also be replacing the ribbon-like ties at the neck with cloak hooks, available from conventions, ren-fayres and very likely here too.The red is a nice rich red and would work for evil clerics, vile satanic cultists, Masque of the Red Death attendees and princess brides.[/UPDATE]

Not bad, not great
The material is similar to a car-seat cover, just less elastic, and is the most basic of cloaks. The image on the listing makes it look much more layered then it is, plus it makes it look like real cloth fabric, which it isn't. Beyond that you have a cheap, flimsy string to hold the front shut. The black color is nice, and it'll work fine for my costume, but I still feel lied to. It's also a bit warm because of the material, and not that breathable.

This is a great cosplay robe.
I got the XXl for reasons on the sizing chart. IT would be better for a taller person but I don’t Mind the1.5” cloth dragging around me. The hood is really big and does a great job of hiding your head and face. The sleeves are also pretty big but again the idea is to be oversized. I would like to try an XL just to see the fit, if it’s better or not. The cloth is very well made and the shape of the robe is fantastic. I am amazed at how inexpensive this “professional” costume robe is. I highly recommend this garment.

appearance
- i received the product (cloak) fast enough. delivery was good.- the material could have been a little less shiny, but wasnt too bad. the dark black color was good.- size length of the large size cloak could have been 1 to 2 inches shorter so that i didnt have to hem it up any, but at least it wasnt too short. (5'10" myself) the large is best fit for 5'11" or 6'. the width was good and loose for somebody 150 to 180 lbs.- it could have used a different hood tie instead of the ribbon type hood tie that was on it.- thickness was good, but still could be a tiny bit thicker. it was still better in thickness than the usual costume you would buy in a store.- the price worth is worth about $10 to $12.- to ship something so light should be like $5, and not $9 or %10.- the style of the cloak is great. very darkside looking for the style you want to portray.- the cloak came in a ziplock bag which was decent. so you can put it back in if you wanna store it for another time period to use it again. (dust prevention)- i give it all around rating of an average of 3 stars.
