Must mobil 1 esp formula engine oil 0w40 , instead of mobil 1 synthetic oil?

Mobil esp is a different formulae than regular synthetic. My new high performance car requires Mobil esp. not supposed to use regular synthetic.

One of the finest oils you can buy but comes at a high price

Was able to pick up a 6 pack on a deal and it is great oil. Not sure I would pay the outrageous $10/quart normal price!

Received the older ESP packaging, but same stuff inside.

No knock against the product itself. It is what GM specs now for the performance engines. The picture in the listing clearly showed the newer Supercar DexosR bottle. I got the older green stripe ESP bottle. I know it is the same stuff inside, so not a huge deal, but would have preferred to get the new stock.
