Died after 2 years
The printer was pretty good, up until it randomly died 2 years later. It just doesn't turn on anymore. No power to the printer. I've tried all troubleshooting options...its just bricked. But the 2 years I got were good. The wifi was sometimes doesn't work...I have to try a few times before my phone sees it.I really wish the printer didn't require as a MUST internet access. There's no reason for that, other than to snoop in on you.

Amazing! Lasts FOR-EV-ER!
I am someone that will spend hours looking at reviews before buying a product. It's actually ridiculous. But - I think they are important so I rely on good reviews before purchasing something. I will say that I have NEVER had a printer that has been so amazing in my life. I purchased this printer in March 2020. It is now August 2022 and I am just now changing the toner in this thing for the first time! The printer ONLY PRINTS IN BLACK AND WHITE - which I knew before purchasing, so if you want color, this is not the printer for you. It is basically to print documents and that's it. No photos. Just black and white documents. Does it's job exactly as stated. I have not had a jam in this thing. No smearing of ink. It works perfectly! It's got Bluetooth so you can print from phone. Toner is SO EASY to replace. I am just amazed and so happy with this printer! BUY IT! You will not spend a crap ton of money on ink again!!!!!!! A+++++

Stopped working after 14 months
Sigh. I did so much research trying to find a printer that wouldn't just be another disposable piece of plastic. I intentionally spent a lot more money on this one than on previous printers. It operated OK for 14 months. It would not stay online, which was annoying. Every single time I needed to print (even if I had just printed minutes ago) I had to turn off and on the wifi connection but, still, inconvenient though it was, the printing got done. Minimum of paper jams and print quality was OK. However, though I used the printer exactly as specified (plugged into wall, factory-issued cord, correct voltage outlet), it suddenly refused to power up just 5 weeks after the warranty expired. I spent hours, days reading every part of the manual, scouring the help files on the website, watching youtube videos, trying everything recommended, and then trying to creatively problem solve on my own. Nothing. It is another useless piece of junk.

Warning: Fonts with jagged edges, Not Laser Printer Quality
Never thought there would be a day that a laser printer of the latest generation printed out pages reminded me days of dot matrix printers.Never thought there would be a day that a laser printer of the latest generation printed out a test page composed of fonts with visiblly jagged edges. That was never a problem for Laser printers. That was not even a problem for ink jet printers many years ago. The actual quality is probably lower than 160x160 dpi, because of the jagged edges. The test page was generated on a macOS 10.15.6.For now, I assume it is a software issue or driver issue. I will be waiting for HP's update or patch, for about 3 weeks, before the 1-month return period expires.UpdateDid not return and wanted to wait for Big Sur.And in macOS Big Sur, driver version 3.0 improves the print quality to the actual very close to the Laser Jet quality as we know it. Jagged edges are now reduced significantly. Giving it 4 stars.Noticing a new drawback: it hungers for power. Neverstop scares nearby lamps into flickering when warms up for a print job.

First printer I've ever had that reliably works
I gave up on printers years ago. Whatever I bought would just stop working, inexplicably. Ink cost tons. The printer took up tons of room. Jams. Wifi problems. And then ultimately the printer would just become unresponsive and refuse to print. Finally, I got to a point where I wanted to be able to print labels to ship things without going to the post office. I read tons of printer guides and realized that I'd been buying inkjet printers, which will stop working if you don't use them frequently. Their liquid ink system dries up and the whole printer is dead (I swear, there were also wifi issues tho. . . ).Anyway, laser printers have a much higher cost up front, but it eventually pays off. First, you don't need to use them with any frequency. They are happy to sit around unused for ages. Second, the ink cartridges last a very very long time. Inkjet cartridges need to replaced CONSTANTLY, even if you buy the ones that are supposed to last a long time. It's not true, comparatively. Laser printer's toner last much, much longer.I had a lot of trouble setting up the wifi at first, and tech support had to troubleshoot a few things. Can't remember what the issue was (this was many months ago), but it worked out after an hour or so of setup time, and hasn't been an issue at all since. Very reliable. One more note: if you don't need a color printer, then go for a black and white one! This is so much simpler and less expensive in terms of ink/toner. I'm relieved not to have a color printer. As for the cost . . . I bought this one because it was the cheapest model at the time that fit my needs and would arrive by next day. It's not cheap, but it's been working perfectly without any glitches so I'm thankful.

Love this printer
What a work horse! Love that it just prints away. We bought it two years ago, and have printed over 1000 pages with it, and it just now has needed a toner refill. 25 months later! And that was so easy to do. Literally took about 15 seconds to refill it. This has been the best printer we've ever had.We are authors, and need to print out chapters at a time for our Beta Readers, and this printer just takes it all in stride. Not the fastest I've seen, but very steady and super efficient. Gose just about the speed I need, so I can keep up with the hole punch and getting the pages into notebooks.Very pleased with this printer. Will do this again 9 If and when we ever need to)
