Best air freshener out there
I have used Bad Air Sponges in 1 pound to 5 gallon sizes in commercial buildings for about 25 years. I have found nothing better. While they are more expensive than the products sold in big box stores, they are more effective and last much longer making them a better value. The fragrance is pleasant and not overwhelming. It makes a building smell clean.I use the smaller 14 oz. containers for bathroom air freshening in my house. The two pound product I use to freshen a disposal unit for adult diapers. Each time I empty the container and place a new bag in it, I shave a couple spoonful of the bad air sponge with a putty knife and drop it in the bag. It beats the liquid citrus deodorant hands down IMO.

Suppresses oder and works good
Fantastic product gets rid of and/or suppresses oder. Lasts quite a while - maybe 8 weeks. Doesn't have a noticeable fragrance like some sickly sweet honeysuckle or faux fabreeze smell. My cat doesn't care for it but doesn't run away

It does enough but is not particularly spectacular
It certainly distracts from the smell of dead mouse (we couldn’t find it). It smells strongly of moth balls, according to my mom. It is hard to say whether it “absorbs” the smell (whatever that really means), but for a while it definitely overpowered the mouse smell. Eventually, and this is gross description coming up, the dead mouse probably decomposed more and began overpowering the diminishing moth ball smell and we just decided it’d be worth the effort to cut open the backing of the couch to look for the mouse there (we indeed found it there and the smell went away almost immediately). The product over time seemed to shrivel up, but I don’t know whether that’s good or bad. I would recommend this product if you can tolerate moth ball smell, and would say it is much more tolerable than dead mouse smell and more consistently effective than spraying air freshener (which for dead mouse you would have to spray every 30min or so). Put it close to the source of the offending smell if you know where it is, or where it smells the most strongly. You may want to close it up at night to keep away from curious pets.

Bad Air Sponge changed our home!
So much money spent on candles, sprays, and other deodorizers to remove odor in a large room where my 4 dogs sleep, but nothing worked. Finally, gave in and purchased an air purifier machine that claimed to remove pet odors. Purchased extra filters for the air purifier knowing it would need changed often to work on odor from 4 big dogs. Paid $100 for the machine and the replacement filters are $25 each and last about 2 weeks or less, not 3 months as claimed. Granted, the purifier collected tons of hair on the Hepa filter and on the outside of the machine, but left the bad odor in the room. Complaining about the filter not helping much at all, my sister told me that she bought a product called Bad Air Sponge in her quest to find pet odor remover products. She also had tried many products and a room air purifier, with no luck, until she purchased a Bad Air Sponge, with not much hope for it either. It worked great for her, so I ordered one and when it arrived, I put it in the dog room and removed the filthy air purifier; I forgot about it the next morning when I went to feed the dogs. They were still sleeping, and I said out loud, "Wow, it doesn't stink in here". That's when I realized the air purifier was not in the room and the new product was. There was just a hint of dog odor, but nothing like the night before. I picked up the Bad Air Sponge to read about it again. It stated on the container than for really bad smells, remove the sponge from the container and place it on its lid, exposing the entire sponge to the air. I did that and while I felt I could live with the hint of bad odor, I went about my day. That night, I was shocked that the dog odor was gone, as if the windows had been open for days and fresh air had been blowing through! No joke, this odor we have lived with for four years, was gone! The sponge is beginning to shrink, as it is supposed to, and I am in awe of the Bad Air Sponge! Even though one of the 2 lb containers cost about the same as the air purifier filters, I don't care because this works without using electricity 24/7!

Works quickly but await long-term impact
Due to a blocked sunroof drain, water had left a musty smell in car carpets months after the problem had been fixed and the floor allowed to dry. Before having carpets removed and professionally cleaned, I left this product on the car floor for several days and the odor disappeared quickly. Will leave in the car again if the odor returns. Also had a pinhole leak that let a gallon of water from a plastic jug seep into a home carpet. Although dry, it left a smell also. After a week with this product, we no longer smell that either. Plan to insert it into the return vent of our heating and air ducts to see how it helps to improve the house overall, although the 2 lb. product says it clears up a room of 400 sq. ft. So far, very impressed by this product, but cannot yet say the long-term effect. Fragrance of the product is not too bad and fades fast thankfully as I have issues with perfumy products. I do not feel this is simply masking odors with another fragrance like most sprays do. Pleased so far!

Odors GONE
I placed one in the closet where the litter box is. It did give off a very light, pleasant scent. I am very sensitive to anything with fragrance and this was fine. It does say that initially it will give off a light smell that goes away. It was fine. No more litter box smell at all. It's been horribly hot and my garbage cans are in the garage. Every time I drive in I'm assaulted by the smell of hot garbage, literally. I placed a large one out there with very little hope. Two hours later, it's gone. Completely gone. I'm genuinely amazed. I just ordered some more. One for the kitchen cabinet where the garbage can is. I will poke holes in the lid and leave it on because of the cats. I know it's non toxic, but I don't want to push my luck.
