Great quality and performance
Why did you pick this product vs others?:I already own an older model of this monitor... specifically, three of the smaller ones. I was looking to add more monitors for my wife’s setup. Since I was already familiar with the brand and liked the features of the previous model, we decided to go with these two monitors. They have very smooth height adjustment and rotation. As long as your setup can support it, the refresh rate is fantastic. We did run into some initial issues getting them to perform well, but that had nothing to do with the monitors themselves. Always make sure to check your computer for any manufacturer bloatware or power-saving settings that could drastically affect gaming performance. Now that everything is properly set up, they look great. They’re very bright, and the color depth is excellent. The monitors may look a little yellow in photos because my wife uses a blue light filter, but in person, the display quality is outstanding.Honestly, there’s no downside to these monitors. They’re absolutely awesome.

The BEST 1080p monitor I've ever used.
I paid $300 for this thing in January 2024, it is now July 2025 and it's now $200 dollars on sale. Please, do yourself a favor and grab this asap. It is an absolute steal for this monitor, let me tell you why.I usually don't write reviews, like ever.... but I just wanted to take a quick moment to say that I have used many different monitors in the past, ranging from a SceptreY40, Acer Predator Z35, also Z35p (1440p variant), a Samsung G65b, an Aorus FV43U, and a recent 1440p KTC monitor, and despite all those I found myself going right back to the ASUS TUF Gaming VG279QM 27” 1080p. YES, it is that good!I can't believe that a small 27" 1080p screen outshines those other ones. Where it lacks in size and pixels, it makes up for it with great colors, outstanding speed and motion clarity, with 280hz refresh rate. It's so fast and smooth it makes you feel like you have super human precision when playing FPS games, or any game for that matter. There is almost absolutely no ghosting at all (I never noticed any), no overshoot issues, etc. I mean this thing just feels crazy fast, and the HDR400 on this thing, while being entry level HDR, looks outstanding imo. As a matter of fact it almost looks as good as the HDR600 from the Samsung G65b and that thing gets really bright. It's also very colorful. I like to turn the HDR on, bump up SDR content brightness settings level in System > Display > HDR, and then I open Nvidia control panel and bump up digital vibrance to about 55% and the color on it looks immaculate (at least to me). And I expected nothing less considering it's a fast IPS display, so it makes sense. But yeah this monitor is way better than I expected, even other monitors of high resolution and bigger size can't compete with this little monster, Asus did an outstanding job with this model. I'd say if this was too small and you wanted a somewhat alternative to this thing like an ultrawide, the ASUS TUF Gaming 34” 1440P 1500R Curved Monitor (VG34VQL3A) is probably the way to go as it is wider and looks much better despite being a VA panel though it lacks in motion clarity, and even then, I STILL don't think it's quite like this little 27 inch 1080p screen.Whether you're an esports gamer or just a casual, I think this monitor will make anybody happy unless you're looking for bigger size and a curve, which this obviously doesn't have. Imo if you're upgrading from this thing, you should be aiming for a good OLED or Mini LED, otherwise just get this thing, best value for money in my humble opinion. I hope this helps someone out there!

Great Product! Gamer Approved!
I now have two of these monitors in my setup, and they’ve been awesome. I was finally able to get a second one recently, and right away I noticed something: the new one looked even better in terms of image clarity and color fidelity. That’s when I also realized that my first unit had developed a small spot of burn-in — a faint purple haze likely caused by my wallpaper and the overclock I have on it. It’s only visible on dark scenes and doesn’t affect daily use, but it’s something I didn’t catch until comparing it side by side with the fresh panel.Aside from that, both monitors are fantastic. The 280Hz refresh rate is buttery smooth, the Fast IPS panel has great color, and the OSD is intuitive. Adjusting the display profiles directly on the monitor makes a big difference — it’s easy to get the image dialed in just how you want it.The newer monitor has been flawless after 6+ months, and overall, both are holding up well, even with overclocking and daily use.If you’re looking for a responsive, high-refresh 1080p monitor with strong build quality, great i/o, and great visuals, this one is still one of the best picks out there. Highly recommend, especially for FPS and competitive gaming.
