I have several of these lights to use with my outdoor video security cameras. All my cameras have a small infrared light for night vision. The problem with the camera light is that it was very weak and didn’t light up a large area. With the use of the Tonton a huge area gets illuminated in infrared and my entire quarter of an acre of property can easily be viewed in night vision. The electrical consumption is negligible and is barely noticeable on my electric bill. All my Tontons come on at night and remain on throughout the entire night. They are very durable in wind, rain, snow and hot and cold weather. They do run on home AC power so you would need an electrical outlet somewhere near the light. I’ve found that the included power cable easily goes through a window without impairing the windows use at all.

These are very well-made IR illuminators. I have eight of these in use at two installations and have been very pleased with their performance. The width and depth of the illumination is excellent, and they are easy to position due to their mounting flexibility (much better than most flat panel array mounting systems offer). Two are mounted on a detached garage that is ~100' from a security camera (one illuminator faces across and the other down view of the camera), and the results are outstanding in terms of providing a fully illuminated view of the garage and driveway areas for several hundred feet from the camera. I am very pleased with these illuminators overall.

No really sure.....at this time, I have ordered 2 pairs of these lights......I had one of these fail during the winter and after speaking to Amazon Customer Service, I was assured we could come to a conclusion where I could get a new replacement, but nothing ever happened. I see Tonton has a direct Customer service line that I am going to try. I buy a lot of stuff from Amazon.....I would think I could get some real help with a simple issue like this. I understand there are Amazon alternatives in the world.....maybe it's time to check them out.

I was generally disappointed with Night Vision capabilities for moderately priced cameras, ultimately settled for the Lorex Nocturnal LNE9252B camera. Even with that at 30 FPS and the "nocturnal" label the IR was not sufficient to really produce good video so decided to purchase this IR Illuminator. As you can see in the pictures without and with the illuminator, it lets the camera see further out clearly. I installed the illuminator about 3 feet away from the camera so the camera can see further out. I took away 1 star because I wanted to buy this in all White but it has that ridiculous black front cap as well as the gaudy red lettering so I went with the all black. Not sure how long these will last.

This is a great companion to my Wyze Camera. My backyard Wyze Camera could not illuminate anything due to the distance. This solved my problem. I attached before and after photos of the yard. It came with the needed mounting hardware, with multiple options for wood or drywall. I also got the recommended extension for the power cable. It worked well and came with mounting hardware too. I highly recommend this IR floodlight!

i bought few years back several cameras with night vision. maybe the years of use affected the night sensor or the IR light and the image was almost black. this lamps have solved my problem. i opted for them rather than buying other cameras, since the ones i have work fine on the daylight

Not happy at all with these. The only tome they work is when the sun is going down and it’s starting to get dark out. When it’s dark out, these do absolutely NOTHING to help my cameras. I would not recommend these to anyone! The pic I posted is of my pool, anyone see a pool?! It’s 30ft round.

Gives good illumination as specified. Very happy with it.
