This is just as good a the XPole
I did not buy the Xpole because of price. This is just as good a the XPole. I had the items shipped to my jobs,it came in a brown box, but it did have pro-fit on the package. I told my coworker the were car pipes for my husbands car. I bought a stud finder from Lowe's (under $20) a level and measuring tape, and wd40 to spray where the pole meets. The product is easy to set up and take down and the carrying case is great sturdy material. Some of the cons are, this is a new pole so you have to break it in. You tube has some suggestion of sanding, but if i mess up the pole then the only option is to purchase a new one. I bought some "dry hands" and put a few layers on before use and i keep rubbing alcohol between adding dry hands. I did not use the plastic bottom part, I did not like it. I think you should try it first to see if you need it before making that decision. The pole has some weight to it and it is a 55" width. I have a smaller hand so i could have gone smaller but the studio i use has 55" and most competition use that size. I climb and do tricks, I make my husband get on it first to make sure it hold me up. I am short and only about 130 lbs and he is about 190lbs. There is not a lot of reviews on the products but i am happy i purchase the item.

This is a very good product
I love this pole so much and will be ordering more very soon... I enjoy the sturdiness and security of it. Also it was very simple and easy to assemble well that what my husband said lol being he was the one who put it up for me. Thank you so much for this amazing workout and entertaining equipment.

Was afraid this was going to be a bad purchase. I was wrong
Was afraid this was going to be a bad purchase. I was wrong. It's actually very sturdy, just make sure you tighten it well enough but also make sure to not over tighten it as if you have drywall for a ceiling and is not properly secured under a beam, it will crack your ceiling. However, it has only ever happened once and it was because of my over tightening it. It's very useful in my work outs, easy to put up and take down. It's really impressive!

Bit the dust, then fixed the operator error - GREAT POLE!
So, operator error landed me on my butt and with a huge bruise the first time I jumped on the pole... HOWEVER... my husband then came in and leveled it properly (you really do need a level), placed it on a better part of our bedroom ceiling (we have a 20ft vaulted ceiling with a portion that comes down and levels off flat at around 9ft, except it isn't quite leveled off at first, it is a little slanty, and I didn't see that). Once he installed it properly, it was game on! I swing like a monkey on that thing every day, give it hell, and it still hasn't budged an inch after having it up for a week - it is even on carpet. My best friend and I spent an entire evening playing on it a few nights ago after splitting a bottle of wine with dinner - and still no movement. Also, my husband is 6'2" and about 200lbs - and even he has taken a few swings on spin mode (our 16 month old son thinks it is hilarious so I told him to spin for his kid, and he's a sucker for the baby). I have photo evidence of the fun we've all been having on this toy, but no photos can be uploaded to this comment, boo! All in all, worth the money and tons of fun. Not to mention a GREAT workout.

Best pole you'll get in the price range!
This pole is actually our second. We bought our first two years ago but it always had a slight wobble in it due to what we thought was an assembling error on our part (didn't have the middle threads 100% tightened before my husband gave it a whirl) well we moved and decided to finally put it up again since it's a great workout and a fun thing to have. My biggest and really only complaint is the threads. They are so gosh darn tiny that to call this thing "easily portable" is more then a stretch. I can't see anyone even the most careful of people putting up and taking down this thing more then 4/5 times and the tiny threads not being buggered up past a useable amount. The threads that connect the main two poles are also very short. This is just a design flaw. Those middle threads are maybe 2 inches long and should really be more like 5-7 because most of the harder body contact with the pole happens in the middle and this is where the bend came from the first time and sadly once again within the first ten minutes of the second pole being assembled. The pole states that it goes up to 250 pounds. My husband is 6'4" and 220 and this does hold him up just fine but that being said, he also ran and jumped (not super hard) on the thing to test it out and that's where the bend happened. Haha. So. I would say if you are not over 6 feet, 200 pounds, or doing crazy upside down tricks, then this will work amazingly for you. Hahaha. But if you are on the top end of that spectrum or plan on actually moving this thing around a lot, I'd go for something in a higher price range. For the price I do think this is the best product out there and over all it's super fun, our kids even play on it all the time and it's great for upper body strength. We love our fitness pole!

Couldn’t Even Assemble It
It arrived with the screws screwed extremely tight into the bottom of one piece. In order to put it together you have to unscrew these screws but I couldn’t even do that! I had multiple people try to get them out, put oil on the screws to see if it’ll loosen, bought rubber bands to get a better grip. I’ve spent more time on this than it should take. I am extremely annoyed. I was so excited for this pole to come. Now I’m going to have to take time to package this back up which will take awhile. I’ll have to take time to go to the post office. Then get a refund so I can afford a new one. If they send me the bottom rotating piece with the screws NOT impossibly tight, that would be extremely appreciated.

Set it up right and you’ll do great
Make sure to properly mount this! The threading to tightening it can seem finicky but once you get it down it’s smooth sailing. It’s some what of a pain to take apart to reassemble, but it’s a solid stationary piece. Some drunk friends inadvertently loosened it and my GF’s sister went tumbling, but we were able to get it back up and good as new. My GF has saved me so much money from going to the actual clubs. I built a stage and lighting setup too. Not really sure who this was a present for, but worth the money.
