Highly Palatable Unflavored Protein Powder with No Side Effects
Thank you NOW! For years, I have been trying to find a suitable protein powder. For various reasons, I have been fairly picky over the years, and had given up on supplementing my diet with protein powders. I have adverse reactions to whey protein powders, which give me body aches and a general feeling of uneasiness. I don't have the same reaction with protein bars, etc. but the issue persisted with different whey protein powders. I also avoid sugar and most sugar substitutes. Years passed and different protein powders have collected in my kitchen: pea protein, rice protein, etc. These other types were extremely unpalatable and grainy.I am pregnant now, and in recent weeks, have become concerned about my low protein consumption. At the same time, the doctor suggested reducing my carb intake. I began to really dislike handling meat, especially when it is raw. And I didn't like the idea of consuming so much meat fat and meat generally. And then I read that about protein powders accumulating toxins during their industrial processing, which can be particularly harmful to fetuses. Fortunately, I read a blog that suggested that this product might be cleaner than the other protein powders, so I ordered it. I was worried that I would have yet another supplement collecting dust, and just wanted to sample the product. But NOW had a 38% of special the day that I ordered the 1.2 lb container! Some of the other reviews suggested that the powder did not blend well in smoothies, and had a bad taste. To the contrary, I was super excited when my smoothie blended perfectly with a regular stick blender. And the egg taste was mild, if not imperceptible. For now, I am blending a scoop or so of the powder with frozen berries, cucumber (skinless if using an English cucumber), blend of whatever nuts I feel up to that day (peanut butter, almond butter, cashew, sunflower seeds), yogurt (if I feel up to it), cocoa powder, ... Now that I can start having smoothies, I might start adding some super food ingredients like hemp/chia seeds, etc., greens powders (post-pregnancy), stevia/monk fruit. For now, I am enjoying my simple sugar free but protein packed smoothies. Super happy and super relieved that I can include more protein in my diet and have delicious smoothies on a regular basis. Fingers crossed that this powder is as clean as my hope and expectations! Going to super size to the 5 lb containers. Thank you NOW!

LOVE EGG WHITES!
Before I started Now Eggwhites, I was using a non-GMO soy powder and I loved it. It made my smoothies taste like milkshakes. I like it BETTER than smoothies.I used:A frozen topical fruit blendA frozen combination berry and cherryBaby greens (spinach, kale, and chard)Blackberry juice (has blackberry, apple, and white grape juice). It's 100% juice, no sugar.(I got all the above ingredients from Trader Joe's)Unflavored soy powderIt was wonderful taste-wise and I was doing well on it physically. But then something happened. I told my oldest daughter, who has a degree in Chinese medicine, that I was drinking soy shakes to increase protein levels, she then expressed concern that I would develop a sensitivity to soy. But when she saw the soy container, she saw that it was non-GMO and said that it would probably be okay. However I didn't say a word out loud, but when she said what she said about sensitivities, I remembered something. When she was a teenager (a long time ago), she went for a semester at sea where she took college courses. When asked beforehand if the ship could feed a vegetarian, they said "yes". What did they feed her? Peanut butter sandwiches every day! And guess what is she allergic to since then? Peanuts and wheat. With that in mind, I have been testing protein powders to cut how much soy I'm getting. Not to cut it out completely, but just not overdo it. Several, like pea protein, have too much flavor of their own. In the end, I'm glad I've discovered egg white protein.First of all, I have to say that this product is WONDERFUL in the "shakes" I make, no odd flavor. Haven't had any trouble with foam like some other people have experienced either.Update 2-21-15: I have left the soy protein powder behind and now only use hemp in a smoothie in the morning and egg whites in the afternoon for a banana cherry shake. The egg whites are now added to a combination of frozen bananas, frozen cherries, water, MCT oil, and 1/4 cup egg whites powder. I've tried this combination without the egg whites. Mistake! I thought it tasted horrible without the egg whites.

Great source of complete protein if your GI tract can handle it
I was fine with the taste of this using it in smoothies with berries and soy milk. And the texture was fine too. It is a bit salty but if you are using more milk and berries then it's not as strong. However, one serving a day was too much for my GI system. I can eat a decent quantity of liquid egg whites and other things with egg whites in them but this was just too intense for my GI system and my guts had me up in the middle of the night which is something that is rare for me.If it doesn't bother your digestion, it's a great source of protein and easy to supplement in to reach your protein needs.

Pleasant & smooth
It actually tastes good & feels smooth mixed with warm water. It looks tiny a bits swirling around, but I don't dectect them texure wise at all. Great for people like me who have difficulty digesting other protiens. I would recommend it. :-)
