I am in my low 30's and have been dealing with unwanted back hair since college. I was skeptical with products like this since I wasn't sure if the reviews were legit but I just got my sports razor (ordered on Friday and received on Monday, standard shipping!) and after the 1st use all I can say is wow. The product is very easy to use after a little practice and the blades take off the hair with ease. I had bought a long neck sponge to apply shaving cream and didn't even need to use it, the razor and a little water got the job done all by itself. The long neck is nice as I had no issue reaching any part of my back. The only problem that I can see with this product is if you haven't shaved your back in awhile and your hair is thick and long, a pre-shave buzz may be needed but after that maintenance should be super easy to keep up with. The fact that it folds in half for easy storage and transportation is an added bonus. I don't know who is more happy, me now that I can hit up the pool or beach back hair free or my buddy who I used to have to bribe with free food to nair my back!

So I really like this because it has a good reach and the blade head pivots, but my real issue with it is that the blades CONSTANTLY clog. They really need to change the design of the razor head, or allow for others to fit it... very close together blades will clog when trying to shave anything but your face, they need to have more room in between for the hair to fall out from.As embarrassing as it is to admit, the Venus razor (even though it's for women) does a much MUCH MUCH better job of shaving back hair. I ended up just taping that razor blade to the end of the "stick" part of this and use that because the blades provided are useless.

The concept is great and the product is well-made, but the execution leaves a little to be desired. It cannot be fixed in an angled orientation so it is hard to put any kind of pressure / get any kind of leverage on it, and the razor cartridges that came with it were not the highest of quality. I will try it with some better cartridges and see if I like it better.

I have a collection of back groomers, some expensive electric ones. None of them work as well as this, but I still need my wife to complete the job. Maybe it could have been 5 stars with the newer 5 blade Gillettes I use for my face. Maybe not. All the electrics will tear your back up, pull hair, and miss even more spots. Forget electric! This is by far the best, but you will miss small patches, and spend some time.Besides laser hair removal, your wife is still the best. Waxing? Ouch!

razors suck....better than nothing

I have had the Razorba for a couple of years. It is different than this product insofar as the Razorba handle holds a disposable razor. The Razorba uses a small segment of plastic tubing within the handle to hold the razor. Unfortunately on my handle, the plastic tubing fell out several months ago and I was not successful in being able to glue it back into place. So I have to wrap the disposable razor with tape and jam it into the Razorba handle. The razor is now prone to shifting and it is no longer shaving as close as I would like.The Sport Razor is easier to use and accepts disposable razor cartridges. It is a more solid unit than the Razorba, and with the angle at which the razor blades contact the skin, the Sport Razor shaves closer and with less effort than the Razorba. It also seems to reach a couple of inches more although I have not compared the length of the handles.I cannot yet speak to the long term durability, but so far I like the unit and prefer it over the Razorba.
