Complete kit saves the guess work
This is an excellent kit that includes all of the needed parts that are guaranteed to fit together at a much better price than purchasing them individually. It was my first time doing this and after watching a couple YouTube videos the install was easy. I did run into one frustrating and time consuming issue with my Interstate Loadrunner cargo trailer with a Dexter 3500lbs drop axle. I can't adjust the brakes using the access hole on the back side of the assembly as the drop axle is in the way. I had to take the brake drum off, adjust it, put it back together and regrease. I had to do this about 5 times on each side.

Quality parts, pay extra for the timken!
Honestly very pleased. Opened up the package when I got them to verify no missing pieces. Installed a month later and it went flawless. Time consuming but quality parts and brake in went well!!

Fit perfect on my Bambi Airstream and is easy to install
Don't bother replacing individual wheel bearings, brake shoes or drums. It will take way longer to do that than just install this assembly so everything is new. Remove tire. Mark 2 power wires and clip near OEM crimps. Remove axle nut but leave drum in place. Remove 4 nuts from back of brake assembly and remove. Install new plate assembly in reverse order using new crimps for wires. Grease and assemble new bearings into drum. Install drum assemblies onto axles.

Excellent Product That Could Be Improved With Careful Packing
The item arrived on time and as described. Excellent, quick replacement for worn out trailer braking system. The only, minor issue was the parts package that contained bearings, seals, caps, new lug nuts!? and nuts and lock washers. Everything was tied in a heavy duty plastic bag and put in one of the boxes with a hub and drum. Somewhere in shipping, the heavier items bent one of the grease seals. Not a big deal, but a little better packing could have prevented it. I also received 2 extra caps that go on the end of the axle over the outer bearing. Hopefully somebody else didn't get shorted those 2 caps

Great product and customer service
I installed these brakes on my brand new cargo king trailer. Trailer came without brakes and the dealer wanted an astronomical price to add brakes. I did it for a fraction of the cost with this kit, breakaway kit, 7 way plug with junction box, miscellaneous wire, heat shrink butt connectors, and heat shrink ring terminals. They were a perfect fit and I think anyone can install themselves. There was some missing parts from the kit but the seller promptly sent me the parts without question hands down the best service I have received from any Amazon seller.

Made in China
So, the item is 100% as described. Fit well. And performance is well enough. I have a very heavy built 12 ft 3500lbs trailer and needed a solution to save my truck brakes. Apparently not all states require trailer brakes on smaller trailers and on top of saving my brakes I wanted to be compliant across the board. The only exception I have is everything is China. Which is fine considering we shoot ourselves in our own foot by killing these types of manufacturing jobs in the US. I dont have too many concerns with the product, however the bearings feel ultra cheap. And I feel that despite how well they are packed, I will see a failure with them sooner rather than later. Which I may just make a small upgrade to better ones sooner rather than later. And honestly, I have only put a hundred miles or so on this set up, so I still have some adjustments to make since I'd say it's safe to say the shoes are seated. But I will definitely check bearing play as well. It is nice having that piece of mind knowing what you're pulling is helping slow things down. I would recommend this product, its a great price, but I would caution about the cheap bearings and races. I think that would be a well worthwhile upgrade. Especially when you start pricing this stuff compared to the axle manufacturers. They want 200 per side just for baking plates and drums.

Works fantastic
My stock brakes were let’s say less than adequate. I used these to add additional brakes to my trailer . I went local first spending double the money. After receiving these to my surprise they were better than what I bought from the local expert at double the cost. If you’re on the fence pull the trigger. At first you need to remember there is a break in period . I put mine on drive from south Florida to Tennessee by mile 200 I was backing down from 7 to 4 on my brake gain. I drive a 2023 gmc 2500 . When we got to the pass coming out of nc to tenn I was grateful we had the extra brakes . Trailer is a 7500 lb rated trailer 3500 lb axles . These went on and fitment was perfect. In short sadly the local guy will miss the replacement sale I’m going with these next time .
