My husband asked me why I ordered this - he said "These things never work" well - I had a new jar of jalapeños, handed them to him with this jar opener. He was totally surprised.Worked easily.I hope they never change them and never stop selling them!

Wonderful way to open jars when you have arthritis...at least it is for me. I got one of these 45 years ago, and then 5 years later found one for my Mum. And then I had not been able to find a good one again. I use it for my spice jars, extract bottles, bottles of oil, everything. My husband uses his for his small bottles of model paint that are so hard to get open due to the smallness of the lids. I loved my old that I have been using for 45 years and wanted to get one for my older sister.

It is an easy-to-use device that does what it is supposed to do - it gets the jar open.I've used it now on 3 different large tall jars that had very tight lids.It works very well to 'break' the tight-vacuum-seal of the lid so that you can then easily turn the lid to open it with the jar-opener or by hand when reopening that jar in the future.The reason I've given it 4 stars instead of 5 is because it seems to slightly dent the lid so that the lid fits a slight bit too loosely from then on so that you have to be careful not to lean the jar too far over at an angle so liquid doesn't seep out when putting jar into & out of the refrigerator & not lift jar from the top by the lid when you take the jar in & out of the fridge.Great simple device that works!

This is one of the simplest, easy-to-use bottle/can/jar opener I have ever used. Highly recommended!!

It works okay. I don't have a strong grip due to arthritis in my hands. You have to hold the handle tight so you can twist a lid off otherwise you have slippage. I can't always do that. Jar lids, who knew they would be problematic when you got older!

This jar opener is great because it is adjustable to fit any size jar or cap. So easy to use and so handy when you just can't quite get that lid or cap off. This will be very useful in your kitchen. It is sturdy and holds up over time.
