Creative Options 114-082 Molded Storage Craft Box with Lift-Out Tray, 13-inch , Pink

While trying to find something comparable to a caboodle makeup case, I stumbled upon this craft box. It works great to organize all of my makeup and keep it in one place. It latches on the side like a toolbox and has a handle on the top which makes it super easy to travel with. This is a handy little case with so many uses. While I probably wouldn't recommend this case to the hardcare makeup guru, it's great for anyone who is looking for a cheap hard case to organize their makeup.

I use this storage box as storage for my sewing items. I was hoping that spools of thread could fit in the top compartment, but it doesn't as there just a little too big for it. Otherwise it works wonders for my needs. I put my thread in the bottom compartment along with my fabric scissors, the rest of the tools for my sewing machine, a pin cushion, and there is still a lot of room left. The top pull out compartment has this little row in the middle which holds bobbins perfectly! So I have a row of about 10 bobbins so far, but it can hold more. I use the other top areas for my measuring tape, pins, guage, etc., and the very top of the case has an area that pops up for more storage, and in there I put my needles, chalk, and small items in there. It does have a cool little ruler area on it for measuring out ribbon or small pieces of material. It holds quite a bit, it easy to carry, and I like that I can see through the lid and the box as a whole. I was tempted to buy just a fishing tackle box, which is basically what this is, but I like the fact that I could take out the compartment, and the only fishing boxes in the stores I found locally did not have that feature.

I am a female and was sick of stashing my hammer and screw drivers and what not in a plastic shoe box. I don't have a need for a proper tool box or an array of large tools, I just have the small tools I need to hang pictures and put together shelves or whatever. I had all of these thrown in a plastic box with a bunch of nails and screws and my duct tape and it was a mess. This box is perfect for me, I put my tools in the bottom and the tray and additional area in the lid are great for organizing nails and screws and small bits. It's the perfect size as well, I didn't want a huge box that I had to find a space for. It's also cute, which is also a bonus. The reason I gave it four stars is the "clasp" that holds it shut feels like it might not last forever and is a little hard to shut. If it isn't shut properly and you pick it up by the handle, everything would spill out. Otherwise it's great. I can see how this would also be a great sewing box.

Great case for crafts. A lot of room for crafting tools or paint brushes, etc. The tray has compartment spaces. There are also a couple of compartments through the lid. It’s easy to use. I highly recommend this case.

Plastic isn’t very substantial and prone to crack (one of mine did) but very handy for my sewing supplies. Still I recommend as long as you don’t plan to put heavy things in it.

So far, this storage box has been what I expected for the price. It's adequate, which is not necessarily a negative review. The container is functional as a basic sewing box, and I like that it has three different compartment areas to keep spools segregated from bobbins while allowing other sewing accoutrements, notions and needles to be kept in the "top bunk." However, I don't think it was designed to be a sewing box. It seems like it may have been intended as a fishing tackle box. (Maybe Edith Massey's pink fishing tackle box. Ooh, how recherché!) Depending on the thickness of your sewing sheers, you might not be able to store it on top of the spools in the bottom compartment because the middle storage caddy rests inside that compartment and diminishes its usable space; my scissors did fit, just barely (along with a rotary cutter), but sheers with thicker grips might not. The bottom and top of the box are not exactly flush when they close; on the bright side, though, the box's translucent plastic is flimsy enough to adjust for this when the plastic "locking" mechanisms are snapped into place. "Plastic" is the operative word here. The plastic main locking mechanism occasionally dismounts from its plastic hinge, but it's simple enough to snap back on. The plastic handle on top is actually pretty sturdy, but my worry is that the plastic hinge keeping the main locking mechanism in place will eventually break off or crack, and then I won't be able to pick up the box by its handle anymore—at which point I would search for a new sewing box altogether. But, I've used the box regularly now for five months, and, so far, it's still lasted adequately. Unfortunately, though, so has its stink: the plastic has an unappealing, noxious smell inside that hasn't dissipated even after five months. The product was available only in this one raspberry sherbet color, which isn't my favorite, but, if you ignore aesthetic for function, it's acceptable. For less than $11, however, I feel I got what I paid for. I can't really say I'm disappointed, nor can I say that I'm impressed.

I purchased this for my 3 kids to keep their loom bands and accessories in. They love it as it is so big and roomy for that purpose. It is made just like a tool box with the bottom part one big section, the middle part has 4 sections and can be taken out and the top has small sections that can open. The bottom part is the perfect size for a loom band maker, however my kids don't like to use them-they just use their hands, and lots of bands. the removable part is great for their sticks or whatever they're called. The top part that opens is perfect for their s and c clips and their charms. It's perfect for any loom band fanatic!

Smaller than I thought it would be but it seems to be very sturdy and well made. I didn't knock off stars because that is my fault that I didn't realize the size specifications. It would be good as a small craft box.
