Falls short on the two features that distinguish this from any other USB charging cable
One of the features that distinguishes this device is its ability to retract. That worked fine, for about three months. Now it will no longer retract. However, it's a good length; more than suitable for most of my uses. It's failure to retract wouldn't be a huge problem, were it not for the other feature. . .The second feature which distinguishes this from other USB charging cables is the variety of different sized tips which can be connected to it. However, the adapter plug - the part that is permanently attached to the cable and into which the various tips can be connected - does not reliably transmit power. I have to jiggle and fiddle with the connector while the device I intend to power intermittently indicates the electricity is flowing. Then it's not. Then it is again. You never know, when you connect a device, whether it will start powering immediately or, once you get the juice flowing, whether it will continue to receive power.I've used a single adapter almost exclusively and have not had to frequently attach another tip to this cable. In three months' use, though, it's become less and less reliable. So, between the non-retracting retractor and the inability to reliably transmit power, I cannot recommend this device. That's really too bad; a retractable USB charging cable with the ability to mount different tips could be a really useful item.

Really cool!
I couldnt find ANYTHING comparable in stores that had the desired connections. All the chargers that were similar cost a fortune, especially anything with the magic word 'ipad' or i-anything.This device not only charges my iPad just fine, but also covers my phone in conjunction with a cheapo USB plugin adapter for the car (for those with older cars that dont have usb jacks like myself). It only charges the ipad with about 1 amp instead of the 2 Id expect so its kind of slow. This is likely a problem with the cheap adapter for my car though or the iPad not detecting a high-amperage connection. Its probably a good thing since the wires are rather thin. 2.2 amps might damage the wires. The retract works great and the tips are fine and come with a little bag. The main bummer is you ahve to keep up with the tips. Vs one that has multiple wires with them permanently attached. However, this has thicker wires and a 1 amp charge wont melt your plastic either. Its more robust and much less likely to break or get damaged.Sure beats a 35 dollar iPhone/iWhatever only device!

inexpensive USB cord
The retractable cord works, but it took me a while to figure it out. To get it to retract, I have to extend the cord on each end to maximum length and then release tension, and then tug it gently (give it tension on both ends) and then both ends so it will retract.I bought this to be able to charge the HTC Thunderbolt (Android phone) while using it as a GPS navigator. The micro USB fits and it charges (although not as fast as a wall socket). If I plug this USB cable between the computer and phone, the phone only allows it to be used as a charger. (i.e. I cannot use it to transfer data/sync data with the computer). The cord has been durable for my 4 months of usage even though the part where the cord meets the plugs looks like it would be the weakest point.I have two of these and on one of them the Bestek sticker/logo fell off, but I don't care about that too much.

mobile cell phone charger connector tips
Ihad just purchased my first ever iphone and needed a way to charge the phone on the go. I already had a car charger (the kind with the removable tip) and just couldn't see buying another complete charger just for this phone. I already had many car chargers from previous phone purchases over the years. so i shopped around at different stores and no one had just the tips. I finally wound up at an att store inside my local sams club and the sales person there told me to check amazon.com which i did and i found a package of connector tips pretty cheap. I didn't need all the tips that came in the package but for the price i couldn't complain. Besides maybe someone else could use one of these other tips for their phone. The ordering process was very smooth and easy and my package arrived before amazon said it would. Everything was in the package just as described and pictured. I will definitely shop amazon.com in the future when i need something else. Thanks amazon.com and laszpower for a great product. :)

awesome product, great for traveling, very reliable
I bought two of these to travel with, to recharge my various electronic products. Combined with a two-slot power adapter, all the pieces fit into a tiny pouch, providing a complete charging station in little more bulk than my wallet. What an improvement over carrying individual charging cords! The cord unit is so small and lightweight it takes up no space at all. I keep one in my glove compartment now with my car charger.Yes, it's an inexpensive item, and some have claimed it's not very sturdy. Well, honestly, that's to be expected for an eight dollar item where "smallest possible size" is the design concept. That said, I've had all of mine for several years and I haven't been gentle with them. Nothing has broken yet.To my knowledge there is not a smaller adapter that does what this item does, as well as it does it. I can't see a reason to buy any other brand.

Flimsy construction that won't last
I bought this adapter for travel and when I received it I was a bit skeptical that I would last me for the duration of my 3 week trip since it feels very flimsy. I gave it a try and it did survive but I will probably not be taking it for the next one. I was constantly paranoid to make sure that the wire doesn't twist as to not break it. I mostly used micro USB and Nokia connection and toward the end of the trip, micro-USB seemed to become very loose and it keep loosing connection. I was also confused why the package comes with two rolls, I don't need two of them, I guess this is done to be able to charge more, or have a replacement when the first one breaks. I do want to notice that the size is very handy but I wouldn't trust this for the long haul.
